Browse these ikea cabinet installers with great ratings from Thumbtack customers in Richmond.
Just moved to Charlottesville, VA and needed new furniture from Ikea to be assembled. They arrived on time, acknowledged what they needed to do even before they come, and did their work fantastically. I asked another two pieces of chairs that I did not initially tell but they accepted and managed to assemble them as well. I would like to call them again if I need to get helped with this kind of work in the future
Tony is hands-down the best contractor we have ever worked with. He is trustworthy, responsive, and he does amazing work. A few months back, we found Tony on thumbtack. He and his team repaired a broken light fixture (electrical and dry wall repair). His price was fair, he came out almost immediately, the repair looked great, and we had a good experience. More recently, we started a kitchen backsplash project with another contractor who was recommended to us by a family member. There were red flags along the way, but we proceeded with the recommended contractor. At the end of their first day, they left our house covered in mortar and as the evening wore on, the tiles literally began sliding down the wall. We recognized the craftsmanship was terrible, but did not how to proceed. We didn't want to tear it down, but we didn't want the tiles to dry in the wrong place. Somewhat desperate, we remembered how professional Tony had been months prior, so we pulled out his number (at 9pm) and called him. We sent him photos of the wall and he talked us through what to do. We took down the tiles and washed them completely (so they could be salvaged and we wouldn't have to buy new material) per his instructions. He was positive, never insulting the other contractors, but clearly identifying where they had gone wrong, which instilled trust -- it was clear that by understanding how they went so wrong, he would do a much better job. We agreed on a price and he agreed to come out on a Wednesday. This was on a Monday. On Wednesday, he came out and immediately started reorganizing the tiles and prepping for the new installation. He had another tile installer come out; the installer who came out to work with him was a skilled tiler who showed photos of his work -- really beautiful work. We felt completely comfortable with them taking the lead and putting up the complicated backsplash pattern. Once they dove into their work, they realized that the tiles procured by the first contractors were not actually true squares so they recut ever single tile - 30 sq feet of tile! We were acutely aware of the fact that the job was actually far more difficult than it originally looked (via the photos we sent at 9pm)! However, Tony did not complain once about the additional work; he kept a great attitude and was really upbeat. My husband and I decided that the price we had initially agreed upon with Tony was not actually fair (it was too low) because the job was far more complicated than we had realized. I raised this with Tony and he stood by the fact that he had committed to a price and was going to do the job for that price and would not request any more money for the job. When we told him we felt it was necessary to pay more (the work is truly fantastic), he seemed to appreciate that we recognized how much work they were doing - literally hand cutting 30sq feet if tile- but again, he said he had committed to a price and wanted to be clear that he was not asking for any more money. Another great benefit about working with Tony is that he is great at organizing jobs. He perfectly sees the full picture/scope of work that needs to be done and he efficiently organizes the process. He is not one of those contractors who leaves the job site for multiple trips to Home Depot; he anticipates all his material needs and comes prepared. I cannot recommend Tony enough.
John Nevers is a Gentleman. He worked unnecessary extra hours before we finally figured out a configuration that our ISP should have used while installing the internet a year ago. He worked with the ISP contractor and found out the problem. He installed wired outlets (ethernet and coax) in two rooms and relocated the router to a box in the cabinet, installing an electrical outlet there. John also worked patiently in the sweltering heat at the attic and installed the necessary wiring and a switch. A person with a nice temperament and focused on the customers needs: I will recommend John any day for reasonable and quality electrical work.
On time, professional, and great service for a ceiling fan install. Will hire again.
Paul was incredibly knowledgeable and communicative regarding HVAC ductwork repair. He was punctual, polite and productive. I would highly recommend him and anticipate calling on him again for future repairs!
John was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He moved our wall TV and second tv to our new residence with ease and hid wires making it look appealing. John has other talents attractive to retired people that don't care to do work around the house. We are planning to have John do some plumbing installation as well as change some door locks in our new home. We have found a gem!
Very professional and very prompt installation of ceiling fan. Recommend him highly.
Tony was very professional and he did a wonderful job on the backsplash in my kitchen. He cleaned before he left my home. I will definently recommend him and hire him again.
Gustavo is a very patient and nice person and we had him for two days for assembling my apartment furnitures from IKEA. We are absolutely satisfied with his work and will recommend him to anyone who needs IKEA furniture assembly!
Absolutely amazing experience. It's hard to put into one short review how incredible Jason and his team are. Both he and Oliver went above and beyond to help me surprise my wife on her birthday with a bathroom remodel. Who would have though you could strip wallpaper, prep drywall, prime, paint, install plumbing, put in fixtures and help with everything else that goes into a bathroom remodel in one day? Well these guys made it happen and had smiles on their faces the whole time. You can really tell they love what they do and man do they do it well. Jason was extremely responsive throughout the process, and offered me his advice on so many things, even offered all of his tools I needed for things like sanding the cabinets and hanging mirrors and fixtures. If you are looking for any sort of handymen around the house or local business DO NOT HESITATE to contact Jason, this guy knows his stuff and is very good at what he does. I can't say enough how happy I was working with HHH. Thanks again Jason!
Extremely punctual and professional. He has been doing my yard work for quite some time now and I’ve never had a complaint. My wife and I mentioned installing a new mailbox and he even did that for us too. I would definitely recommend him for any work that needs to be done!
Everything went well: John's promptness in coming here; his efficiency in assembling the rack for my pantry; his installation; his price. Also, I asked him about a few other jobs that need tending to. He surveyed both of them, and explained how I could do one of them myself and save some money. I would definitely hire John again.
The installation of my son's wooden swing set was thoroughly done. He came on time, did the work, and provided excellent service.
From flooring, to general home repair or installing and electronic device you have AEI Installations are the people to call. I have called them numerous times and always receive prompt, courteous service and an amazing price. Wayne Doggett is the only person I call, no job is too big or too small, they really can do it all!
Project was to repair existing (older) windows so that they could open properly and lock. Steve was prompt, gave a fair assessment with explanation, and had the work completed when he said he would. I would definitely hire again, especially since I have a future window repair/installation project in the near future.
