I met with Robert today in his studio in downtown Richmond. When first corresponding with Robert about my needs for a business related headshot only, he indicated it should take no more than a couple of hours. We were done, amazingly, in one hour. I arrived accidentally early and Robert rushed his lunch to come and meet with me earlier than our scheduled time. His background and knowledge of professional photography proved rewarding; the shy person that I am was extremely comfortable working with Robert. He's able to bring that smile to your face that you just know you can't produce on que! After the photo taking was done I was able to watch Robert as he "worked his magic" on the proofs, and on my imperfections, to produce the most stunningly beautiful portrait of myself I had ever seen. I left his studio with my selected digital portraits on my thumb drive, ready to upload for my business needs. I would highly recommend Robert! If you find yourself fearful of having your picture taken and are convinced as I WAS that you "don't take a good picture", make an appointment with Robert and allow him to bring out the best in you!

I hired Robert to shoot my headshot for my Real Estate business card. We did the shoot at the studio which went extremely well. Robert went far beyond my expectations to make sure I was satisfied with the images. Even though I was late for the shoot, Robert was extremely understanding when I called and even called me down as he could tell I was frazzled from a bad case of static electricity that morning while trying to prepare for our shoot. Robert was professional, easy to work with, and knew precisely how to handle a rookie being photographed by a professional for the first time. Robert and I reviewed the images together and we were quickly able to make the final selections. Robert patiently worked his magic, creating the images and backgrounds that made the day a complete success. After posting the new headshot to my Facebook profile, I was overwhelmed by the numerous likes and comments by friends. I look forward to referring Robert to my friends, family, and associates and also look forward to working with Robert again in the near future!

The first thing you need to know, if you don't hire Robert for your professional headshot, you will be sorry. I don't like to have my photo taken and rarely like any photos of me. But, today was a totally different experience. Not only did I leave with a photo I love, the overall experience was positive. Robert was the consummate professional. I was a bit early and he was so gracious about my early arrival. But more importantly, he seemed to know instinctively how to pose and position me to get the best shot all the while making me feel comfortable and not self-conscious. He estimated it would take an hour and he was absolutely right. We shot for about 30 minutes and then we worked on getting the photo just right with the appropriate amount of photoshop. When he says he wants you to leave happy, he really means it. I give Robert a resounding two thumbs up and look forward to using him again!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been taking pictures in one form or another since I was 13 starting with school year books and newspapers. I just LOVE photography and creating and image(s) that are pleasing to view and can serve a purpose whenever possible.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We capture images that clients are looking for and edit them according to their specifications. We can provide an element of creativity as well for those looking for ideas. We offer location or studio work. People, places or things!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look VERY closely at their work paying attention to the details and especially the lighting. They should have a working knowledge of how to put the image in the camera that you will enjoy looking at for a long time. Be sure they can create that.
