My husband and I had our wedding on May 7, 2016 & we chose CheeZeefotos to be apart of our wedding for the photobooth!! Marie & Norm were absolutely AMAZING!! Cory & I searched very last minute for a photobooth and they definitely came through!! Everyone loved the photobooth because it large & had so many different props..not only that these two amazing people who worked it definitely exceeded our expectations and was worth every single penny we spent on working with them!! I would definitely use them again if I have another event. They were so professional and nice, I would definitely recommend Marie and Norm for any occasion if you're looking for a great, unique photobooth!! A lot of people came to me and told me that it was the BEST photobooth they've ever seen!! Thank you Marie & Norm!!

I definitely can say that I had the best experience of my life on April 2 2017 during my wedding and most of the merit goes to John Luciano the DJ!!! He is a great entertainer, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. He had the right music at the right time and he also helped me and my husband to pick some of the best songs for the crucial moments. He took care of the music from the first moment of the ceremony until the last songs at the end of the reception/dance/karaoke! Also he has a great deal of equipments, included microphones, lights, computer and karaoke machine with video. He really was the heart of the party also with some funny games we asked to organize. We felt he was more like a friend than just a DJ. Thank you John !!

Family Reunions and Weddings-- Family reunions can have some candid moments that everyone may talk about for years to come. Having David Keith Photography on hand for our day proved to be just what we needed--an objective eye with professional ability! We would recommend his quality and professionalism to anyone. We had David Keith Photography cover two of our childrens weddings-his humorous personality came through in the great candid moments he caught while roaming around during the events.

My wife and I hired Derek to film our wedding day in August of 2015 and words can't describe how happy we are that we did. He was professional, personable, and such a genuine guy. I had a few last minute special requests throughout the day that I wanted captured and he catered to those needs as well without hesitation. If you need a videographer, Derek is your man! Thanks for all you did to make our video/highlight perfect. Our family will always treasure them! -Lee R.

Karen was my wedding photographer (9/24/16) and she also shot my bridal portraits. Before both events she was very responsive---quickly answering all my questions. On-site, she was easy to work with and she accommodated my pose requests while giving direction in a clear, yet relaxed manner. I loved how all the pictures came out! In addition, everyone who has seen the pictures has been similarly impressed. Using Karen Gage Photography was one of the best wedding decisions I made and I would absolutely use her for future events as well. 10/10

Chuck was absolutely wonderful! He was so professional and EVERYONE loved him. I have close friends already asking for his information. Chuck came to the rehearsal and worked with my photographers. He is so pleasant and really made it so I would not have to worry at all about the video from my wedding and reception. Amazing man!!

Erin was so wonderful, professional, down to earth, and easy to work with. She took not just the regular wedding photos but captured some special moments in between during wedding and reception. She even was stepped in a mud hole to make sure she got a good picture with my husband's family and brought out paper fans for us and our family to cool off from the heat after the ceremony. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. Thank you so much Erin!

Claude was amazing, he and Cookie took such good care of us on our wedding day. They were so professional, on time, took care of everything and we're just the best people to have DJ our wedding. The music was phenomenal and had all my guests dancing the night away. I highly recommend booking Claude for any event. I know I will.

My husband, Brian, and I couldn’t be happier with selecting Gayle and Brent as our wedding photographers. When Brian and I started looking for a photographer for our wedding, we met with a few different companies before meeting with Gayle and Brent. After our first meeting with them, we knew that they were the photographers for us. They are great to work with and truly share in the excitement of planning the event. They come up with some great ideas and are willing to do anything to make your photos turn out the way that you want them to. So far they have shot our engagement photo shoot and we couldn’t have asked for better shots. They really take the time to make sure that the photos turn out the best possible.

A speech with three audio and two video feeds. I was a "moving target" on stage. Excellent audience captures. He was on time and professional throughout the 2 hour event. The quality of the finished product was well worth his charges.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a videographer and what do they do?

A videographer professionally films weddings and other events and edits the footage to create film keepsakes or marketing materials for their clients. Wedding videographers record all the key elements of your wedding day, ceremony and reception, and then edit the hours of film during post-production to make a wedding video, social media highlight reels, and any other film features you choose. Wedding videography captures, in live action, your vows, the cake-cutting, the first dance, reception toasts, the decor, the guests and all the details of your day. Many wedding videographers also interview guests (based on an interview list provided by the couple) and incorporate the recorded responses into the wedding video. Event videography typically costs less than wedding videography, as events are shorter with less detail. The national average cost for event videography is $500-$760, while the national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. A videographer usually does not need to be licensed, but it is important to confirm they have insurance and good standing in the business community, as well as good client reviews. A great majority of the work happens during post-production. The pros watch and blend together the hours of footage they took (sometimes from multiple cameras) to capture the story of your wedding day or event.

How do you choose a wedding videographer?

A wedding videographer will create a lifetime memory for you from edited video footage of your wedding day, ceremony and reception. Choosing a wedding videographer starts with looking online at portfolios of their past work. There’s no need to talk to anyone unless you love what you see. Next, make sure they have good reviews and past client experience; don’t be shy about asking for references if there aren’t any posted online. When you find someone who has a style you love, ask if they are available on your wedding day. If so, it’s time to talk pricing. Be clear about your maximum budget, and ask what kind of packages they offer. Pricing will depend on the number of crew needed for filming, the hours they are required to be onsite, post-production editing, and the length of the final product. Talk with several wedding videographers to get a feel for what prices are like in your region. Nationally, the average cost for wedding videography ranges between $990 and $1,260 per event. Once you agree on a product and have a plan, get everything in a written and signed contract. Clearly state the details of what is expected for your wedding day and from the final product. Be prepared to pay a deposit to reserve their services for the day, then pay the remainder upon receiving the video.

What should you ask your wedding videographer before hiring?

Finding the perfect wedding videographer doesn’t have to be stressful. Asking a few key questions upfront will help you find the right fit for your big day. Before talking with wedding videographers, research their work online. Look at their websites, business profiles and social media, and see what their finished wedding videos look like. If the style fits what you’re envisioning, it’s time to reach out. During initial contact, make sure you get along with the person. This is important since they’ll be interacting with you and your guests.

Your first question should be about their availability; there’s no point in going further if they’re booked on your wedding day. Ask to see references if they’re not readily available online. Next, it’s time to talk about money. Ask how they determine rates or what kind of packages they offer. When you settle on a rate and the services you want, make sure to have a written contract that outlines everything, including cost, length of time they film, what post-production will include, and when you can expect to receive the edited project.

How much is videography for a wedding?

Wedding videography is one thing many couples regret not paying for. It may seem like just another expense during wedding planning, but it’s really special to have a moving memory of your big day. The national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. Pricing can vary depending on wedding length, special film features, the amount of editing required, and how many videographers are needed to cover the event. Many videographers offer packages that provide different levels of service. A very simple wedding documentary could be $600 or more, while a full-scale cinematic experience involving multiple videographers could be $2,500 or more. Here’s an example of average package pricing:

  • Package 1: $1,400
    • Footage during and after the ceremony, including highlights requested by the couple.
    • Two cameras with audio equipment.
    • DVD including a 3- or 4-minute edit to a song of the couple’s choice and a 45- to 50-minute raw edit covering the entire event.
    • Recordings of guests’ good wishes to the couple.
  • Package 2: $1,800
    • Includes everything from Package 1, plus an additional videographer (2 total) and aerial videography.

How much does it cost for a photographer for a wedding?

Finding the right wedding photographer can make a big difference for your ceremony. Nationally, the average wedding photographer’s price ranges from $800 to $1,000, but costs can be much higher in areas like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles where some couples spend $2,000 to $5,000 or more for the photographer they want. Factors that can affect your wedding photographer prices include the photographer’s reputation and experience. Heavy hitters can command top rates, especially during wedding-season weekends. Day of the week also affects your cost. You may get a $200 discount on wedding photographer prices if you get married on a Friday in November rather than a Saturday in June. Time onsite is also an important cost factor. Hiring a photographer to snap photos from the moment you wake up until after last call at the reception is going to cost more than five hours of pictures during the day. Multiple photographers, special lighting, and videography will also increase your costs. Ultimately you want to find someone who has a style you love and can provide the number of edited shots you want for a price you can handle. Learn more about hiring a wedding photographer.
