Introduction: Hi and congratulations to you and your fiance. I am happy for you both. By way of an introduction, I am a resigned catholic priest and now a member of the Unitarian Universalist church in Richmond. I am married to my dear partner, Susan, and we have 1 very sweet but mischievous dog, Daisy, and 2 cuddly bunnies, Bonnie and Clyde! I have an easy going personality and enjoy people, animals and a variety of hobbies including making glass jewelry products.
I have had the joy of celebrating weddings for many years. Serving as a wedding officiant is truly an honor and privilege for me. I am very grateful and delighted now to have the opportunity to share in the love relationship of same-sex couples in this role.
Though marriage has a spiritual meaning for me, I do not impose any distinctive wording nor format upon you. I respect you and your wishes for the celebration. After all, it is YOUR wedding and an expression of YOUR love relationship. I will work with you by phone or email to create a meaningful ceremony of your choice.
Because of this pandemic and the fact that I am at a higher risk of infection due to my age, I am only performing weddings with the couple and no other guests on the porch/deck of my home in south Richmond. If this arrangement is acceptable to you, I would be honored to serve as your officiant. I hope to hear from you.
May you be well in body and spirit. wayne
