About this pro
Mt work stands apart due to the personal care each and every dog receives. I truly love dogs and they can sense that. I do what I do because I care and have made the life choice to do this over other types of careers. I like the freedom to be available to my own dogs and more flexible to handle often last minute the needs of my clients. Some have last minute trips or changes in plans and having the ability to be there for them means alot to me. Also seeing happy owners and dogs is a beautiful thing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes, I am taking an advanced dog training class that will certify me in the United States as well as Canada. The plan is to get into training service dogs for autistic kids.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always worked around and with animals since little bitty. My love only grew over the years. Many years ago we met a Master Dog trainer who was also a policeman, he agreed to let us work with him training police dogs and regular family pets also. It was wonderful until tragically he was killed in the line of duty in December of 2000. Since then the focus has been on just regular family pet training.
- What types of customers have you worked with?House breaking of puppies, basic obedience training, boarding while clients go on vacation, etc. Also offering pet taxi service in my local area. If in local area will also dog walking during day. Willing to give pet meds and even if needed a pet bath as well.
