Introduction: My passion has always been music and being able to make music accessible to others is such a joy. I started playing piano at 4, violin at 6, viola at 16, and picked up lower strings methods (cello and bass) during my music undergraduate program. I hold a masters and I am halfway through a related PhD program. My approach to music is simple-you should enjoy it! All private lessons include intensive music theory. This is especially important for beginners and continues through advanced playing. I was a theory fanatic all of the way through college so my enthusiasm with this is very high! I teach the following: Music Theory: beginner to advanced Violin: beginner to advanced Viola: beginner to advanced Piano: beginner to intermediate The best part of working with me? We will not only work on your foundation skills but also we will work on setting goals to work on and accomplish pieces that you are interested in as well! COVID Operations are limited to remote learning only at this time. Thank you for your understanding!

Bridget is a wonderful teacher! She was always patient when teaching new things and she was very flexible with her schedule. I often had last minute rescheduling requests and she was always able to accommodate. I was mostly learn by ear, but she was able to improve my music reading skills substantially. It was wonderful getting a chance to work with her.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

If you would like to prepay or agree to a bundle of lessons, the pricing will be adjusted.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Besides an introduction, I will evaluate the students musical level, to include any instrument knowledge, theory knowledge, and sight-singing abilities. From there, I will make recommendations for the students next steps.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I began playing music at the age of 4. Through grade school I attended performing arts schools and I also studied music performance for my undergraduate degree. I began teaching younger children at the age of 12 and started teaching all ages by the time I was 17. I also began paid performing at the age of 12. I studied strings and teaching methods during my undergraduate program as well.
