Tim has over 10 years of experience assisting first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, relocating clients, investors, retirees, veterans and active-duty military in buying and selling their properties in Texas and Virginia. His experience in high volume transactions in each state gives him a unique insight into clients’ wants, needs and expectations.
Tim is a classically trained musician with a Masters of Music degree from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. He was a tubist in the premiere U.S. Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” in Washington DC. Besides investing his time in real estate, Tim also keeps himself busy as a member of the West Springfield Little League Board of Directors. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, exploring Northern Virginia, reading, roasting coffee beans and drinking coffee.

We have now worked 4 transactions with Tim - 2 to buy and 2 to sell. We would not use anyone else. We decided to sell after finding "the perfect home" in early September 2019, which left us little room to get the house on the market to continue to take advantage of the early/mid fall market. With Tim's expertise and his connections to equally excellent colleagues, we completed a sale and a purchase within two months! In regards to the sale, Tim's spot-on pricing of our home ensured we had multiple offers the first weekend the house was on the market - and this was during the fall! Tim's use of social media and technology, coupled with his exceptional knowledge and easy going personality, makes him and the rest of The Royster Hearth Group the best in the business! My wife and I were immediately contacted by Tim after we requested more information about a potential home listed on Zillow. Although he had a pretty jam packed day, Tim offered his time toward the end of a showing for us to introduce ourselves. We briefly talked about what we were looking for in a new home, and since we were first time home purchasers, he suggested that we meet for coffee the following weekend to review the home buying process and look at additional homes. Tim also introduced us to a local lender, whom he trusts, to receive a second quote on a mortgage rate, as well as the expected closing costs. The two of them knocked it out of the park with their service. Tim not only helped us secure a house that we loved and ended up winning in a bidding war, he additionally helped recover some costs during the contingency period due to results of the home inspection. He has been nothing short of fantastic, as the entire process from meeting Tim to closing on our new house lasted less than 30 days. I highly recommend Tim. He will take the time to get to know you and help you find a home you love.

Ive dealt with a number of real estate agents over the years and Tim ranks at the top of the list. His knowledge of the Northern Virginia market and entire real estate transaction process was superb. He had an uncanny sense for finding properties that my wife and I were interested in touring. He always came very prepared with data and printouts of the prospective properties wed be touring and was never late. Tim was very patient with us as we tried to understand the area, different types of homes, and pros/cons of each property. During the walkthroughs of the properties, Tim would point out the good and the bad, flagging potential issues. This was above and beyond any real estate agent Ive ever dealt with and saved us from pursuing several properties with costly issues. Tim surrounds himself with a superb team and recommended a great home inspector, Title company, professional photographer, and virtual stager. He was always very responsive and is the consummate professional. When we settled on a property and decided to make an offer, Tims experience in the real estate market and local area paid dividends when presenting the offer and later when negotiating credits after the home inspection. Tim helped us navigate a complex real estate transaction involving a trustee, attorney, and general contractor. Tim is always on your side and has your best interests in mind. He is honest, hard working, humble, and exemplifies his companys mission statement to serve our neighbors, not ourselves. We highly recommend Tim and the Royster Hearth Group! Tim was fantastic! My wife and I were first time home buyers and Tim helped us through the process every step of the way making it a smooth experience. Tim was not only very knowledgeable, but he was great at making us feel comfortable at very busy open houses and showings in a competitive market. His knowledge of homes and attention to detail was also impressive; at every home we visited he pointed out several often overlooked details for us to look at and take into consideration before making an offer. Tim's team is also great - if he had a scheduling conflict, his team was ready and willing to step in to assist in showing us a property. Tim was very responsive and clear with his communications. He was quick to respond with any questions we had or additional details we requested. When it came time to put in offers, his knowledge of the local market conditions really showed. We fully trusted Tim's guidance on making reasonable but competitive offers and it paid off. After our offer was accepted, he helped us negotiate some additional repairs and was adamant about ensuring they were completed before closing and done by professionals.
