FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is not complicated. My charge is per hour per dog. If I book multiple appointments with other family members, I discount the hourly fee. I am very flexible negotiating the fee depending on the size of the dog, and I do not service some breeds. I intend to list the breeds that I cannot service in the very near future.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into this line of work when I returned from FL back to this area. The higher cost of living here meant that I had to supplement my retirement income. I've worked for 45 years and working did not sound one bit appealing to me. However, I love independent living. I dreaded the thought of yet another boring job and then both off my doggies jumped into my lap and the light went on. I'm not looking for a career; been there done that. What I love is spending time with animals, and I didn't think working at the zoo would be the answer. So, here I am waiting to meet my new friends and thoroughly loving their company.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My main objective is to build a dog walking business with a few select clientele. I want to be able to give my full attention and time to those few. I do not want to limit my availability to my select clients. I have no intention of expanding my business or trying to make a million dollars. I'd rather make a few new good friends
