FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $100 per hour. This covers my travel expenses, any music expenses, and time that I spend practicing for and playing at the event.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After we hash out the business details, I talk to the event organizer about what they would like from the musical side of things. This is when I gauge how much input they would like to have in the event's music. Some people prefer to leave the music entirely up to me, while others have very specific ideas in mind. If they aren't sure, I offer some suggestions from my repertoire and we talk about the kind of mood we'd like to set with the event music. If possible, I like to meet with the client before the event as well as keep open lines of communication via email and/or phone.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in music lessons from the age of six. The cello is my primary instrument, and I minored in musical performance in college. I also have several years of viola and violin experience as well as vocal instruction and vocal performance.
