Roger Frampton has been working with my son since last year tutoring him in Algebra II and Math Analysis. His services were worth every penny. My son's confidence and grades improved tremendously in both classes. I even received an email from his teacher noting the improvement. Mr. Frampton is always on time, brilliant in subject matter, and extremely professional. He is high in demand so I strongly recommend scheduling in advance. My son has thoroughly enjoyed working with Mr Frampton. Mr. Frampton's services were exactly what we were looking for and his tutoring style is a great fit for my son. If I could give more stars I would. Excellent experience!!
Excellent caring teachers! The chemistry and trigonometry tutors, as well as, my son's SAT tutors were all very qualified, professional, and dependable. I was very pleased with my experience and my son's attitude towards school improved along with his GPA!
I had the pleasure of working with Bruce as he helped me improve my college algebra grade from a D to a B. Bruce was always on time and frequently stayed extra, always making sure that I understood whatever principle I needed to complete my assignment(s). He was able to explain concepts in a way that I could understand. Bottom line Bruce is an awesome tutor and I would not hesitate to work with him in the future
She is a very great math tutor, and goes in depth when explaining how to approach each problem so that I was able to understand how to do it.
I can safely recommend Arbor Tutors to anyone who is seeking great quality and a fantastic price.
Miss Viki, I must say gets a 10 plus for her hard patient work. Actually, I was disabled in many areas of my adult life from a head injury. This wonderful lady was my tutor at Tidewater Community college in Virginia Beach. She saw me through all my needs. Beyond a doubt she's tops. Now, I own my own business 9 years later. I love this special lady :) I highly recommend her services. Clever in other subjects also. Linda
Mr Cobb tutored my 16 year old son in Algebra II. He had an F on his progress report and only had 6 weeks till his SOL. My son had one two hour visits per week for the six weeks with Mr Cobb. He received a 505 on his Algebra II SOL which is a Pass/Advanced. Mr Cobb provided excellent and professional tutoring. Very pleased and would use again. Highly recommend.
George is a great tutor. Earlier this semester, I was struggling in Stats. I knew George did a lot of tutoring, so I decided to ask for help. He explains the work in an easy to understand way. He doesn't just do the work for you - he helps in a way that allows me to do my own work and figure things out myself with his guidance. He gives background information on the material and makes sure you understand what and why you are doing the problem, so that you can complete it easily. I know I WILL be getting tutored by him again.
David is certainly effective; within just two sessions of tutoring I was scoring dozens of points higher on tests and quizzes, with one quiz even scoring 53 points more than the original! In addition to his effective teaching methods, having a relaxed, yet focused professional (as opposed to a hurried and intimidating teacher) made the idea of learning and understanding math much more approachable to me. Another fantastic quality of his tutoring services is that he doesn't stop helping when the tutoring session ends- he will continue to look over copies of your work, work further on problems gone unanswered in the sessions, and provide answers to the questions of students over e-mail and facebook. That in itself makes me more comfortable knowing that he is a dedicated professional. I am confident that I have a reliable source from which I can get super awesome math help. A+ tutor.
I joined a technical support team that she manages. She is always very detailed in her communication and is eager to do what is necessary to make a project successful. Intisar Taylor-Bess is dependable, timely and very professional.
I am a teacher, and I have taught for 15 years in both middle and high school and can teach both economics and mathematics very well. I can make students who hate math to like it since I always start from the known to the unknown concepts. I also enjoy teaching kids that is why I take my time in doing that.
Math sucks. You either get it, or you don't. When people don't get it, they come to me, and step by step, I use their learning styles to help them understand the material.
It's math and it can be scary but it doesn't have to be. A great tutor can make all the difference and that is what I offer.

I can diversify the types of jobs I do
I am a student at William and Mary studying linguistics and Spanish. I have been playing piano for 10 years and teaching lessons for 5. I have also played guitar for 5 years and taught lessons for 3. In addition, I have experience tutoring youth of all ages, from elementary school to high school. I would say Spanish is my specialty; my knowledge is extensive, especially instructing at the introductory level. I am a straight A student and am competent to tutor most subjects, but I also have particular previous experience in Algebra. Though I am skilled in presenting material from a textbook or workbook clearly along the format of the class, I also enjoy coming up with creative methods for teaching and tutoring and designing my own exercises.
I am a college student studying mechanical engineering technology. I can teach up to Calculus 1. I just need to know what material is needed to be taught.
I have an abiding love of learning and teaching. My previous coworkers and managers have praised my ability to explain complex subject matter to both experts and non-technical audiences. I am comfortable in multiple venues, from one-on-one tutoring to larger groups. I specialize in mathematics and related subjects, especially probability and statistics. I am a recognized expert in experimental design techniques and have been published as a contributing author to a major text in the field of operations research. I have taught adult classes as an adjunct professor for several colleges and universities and have enjoyed the personal interaction with my students. I hold myself and my students to high standards and, as a tutor, will seek to impart both knowledge of the material as well as an appreciation for the broader aspects of the subject. One of my core operating tenets is to relate the technical material to everyday life as much as possible as this facilitates understanding. Feedback is an essential element of any teaching situation, and I welcome all responses. I try to be flexible with time. While I have a stated cancellation policy, this does not preclude rescheduling or make-up sessions.
I have over 15 years of tutoring experience. My students have performed excellent not only in academic grading but also in standardized testing. My goal as a tutor is to make sure students learn and master the concepts, then use the concepts to solve problems presented in different formats. This approach allows students to expand skill set to solve any problem fast and accurate. Once the confidence is developed, it gives students the abilities which helps further in learning. When it comes to studying for tests it is important that you have enough practice on the material for the test. With enough practice on similar problems it becomes the second nature to start working on the problem immediately as you read it. This allows you to not only solve problems fast and accurately and you always have time to review your work. This is the technique that I motivate in my students for them to get good grades in tests. In simple works it is the practice that makes you perfect so I use that approach to prepare the students for the tests.
