- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend one to toe seminars a year to learn from other trainers. I have seen, ate dinner with, and trained with many of the top dog trainers one the world.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the trainer to see videos of dogs he has trained or see his dog! Nobody buys a car without kicking the tires and looking under the hood.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Most trainers do what they do in training because someone else taught them to do it that way. They often don't understand why they are doing it, and ultimately why it works or doesn't work.
