Jim and his team of tutors are excellent to work with. Jim found just the right Math tutor for me to pass my college math classes. Having been out of school for many years, I was more than just a little nervous about being back in the classroom. The one-on-one tutoring that was convenient to my schedule was perfect. Thanks Jim and the whole A++Team.

Dr. Lamb is the best. I came to building blocks services looking for help with passing the math part for the Asvab. She shown me ways to figure problems out and made it fun to learn the steps again. Because of the help, I feel more confident. I love the services so much, I will have my son attend as well for tutoring.

My son is a senior at HRA and needed help with his SAT prep, since his score from May testing was not enough to apply in the college of his top choices. I reached out back in June of 2015 and ended up hiring Megan as a tutor after a long conversation with her and felt very confident about my choice even though there weren't much of review about her. Megan was very attentive and flexible with my very busy senior's schedule ( plays foot ball and hockey) I was pleased with her assessment of his skills before she began. She has helped out so much and now that we have the result of his improved recent SAT score, he is putting in the early decision application to one of his choice school. is improved enough to apply at school of his choice. I believe that Megan truly loves math and teaching others to love and improve on this subject and enjoys what she does. Charges for the lessons are very reasonable and to be frank, I would pay a lot more for all the extra work she has done for my son. I wish she could've been my son's tutor during his entire high school. Not only Megan is highly recommended by both my husband and I, my son is happy with the help she has given him. I wish I could give her 10 stars but unfortunately, 5 is max.

I have been a colleague of Mrs. Beamon for over 10 years. She is professional and passionate about educating youth. In the classroom her energy and excitement for the subject matter overflows to the students. Mrs. Beamon has a gift for understanding a child's best learning style and can tailor her instruction to meet their needs. Additionally, her counseling background plays into her comprehensive delivery. I have used several of her resources and best practices for my own children and as a result they are strong readers and understand the importance of perseverance in education.

Mr Cobb tutored my 16 year old son in Algebra II. He had an F on his progress report and only had 6 weeks till his SOL. My son had one two hour visits per week for the six weeks with Mr Cobb. He received a 505 on his Algebra II SOL which is a Pass/Advanced. Mr Cobb provided excellent and professional tutoring. Very pleased and would use again. Highly recommend.

Barbara has been tutoring my daughter for reading for a little over one year now. When my daughter started with Barbara, she was reading below grade level and I am proud to say that she is now reading at grade level. Barbara is very flexible with schedules and truly has a desire to help children grow. My daughter loves her!

About

I have over 15 years of tutoring experience. My students have performed excellent not only in academic grading but also in standardized testing. My goal as a tutor is to make sure students learn and master the concepts, then use the concepts to solve problems presented in different formats. This approach allows students to expand skill set to solve any problem fast and accurate. Once the confidence is developed, it gives students the abilities which helps further in learning. When it comes to studying for tests it is important that you have enough practice on the material for the test. With enough practice on similar problems it becomes the second nature to start working on the problem immediately as you read it. This allows you to not only solve problems fast and accurately and you always have time to review your work. This is the technique that I motivate in my students for them to get good grades in tests. In simple works it is the practice that makes you perfect so I use that approach to prepare the students for the tests.
