FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am consistently reviewing new trends in graphics, web and design by monitoring the blogosphere and reading trade publications. I also take online courses and practice tutorials on new technologies and techniques to constantly grow and hone my skills.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I don't think I had a choice in the matter - from as long as I can remember, I've been involved in art, graphics and design. I was drawing still-lifes of fruit as a 5 year old, and my graphic design career sprung to life from there. Graphic design and web development combine my passion for art with my interest in communication: design is part of who I am, and I wouldn't be me without it!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To hire someone with whom you are comfortable. Visual projects like brand and identity creation, web design and marketing collateral development require collaboration and communication throughout the process. Make sure that the provider you select for your projects makes you feel comfortable and communicates in a way that you understand. After all - graphic design is 100% communication, just visual!
