Great communication and work completed as advised -a rarity these days. No hidden costs. Would use them again if the need arises. Concrete the did looks great!
Installed 600+ sq ft of porcelain 1'x2' tiles on a basement concrete floor. Did a great job. Was on time and finished when agreed upon. Tile was even and the joint line are even at a great price. Would hire Leo Home Improvement again.
Matt retiled my 3 bathrooms. He took out the old tiles, put in concrete backing (goes under the tiles, that way all the tiles are even and prevent tile movement and grout breaking), and added the tiles and new grout. Wow, he did an amazing job. His cost is excellent, hi estimates were under other competitors (and because he did such a good job, I actually gave him an additional $100 for doing such a great job). He works hard. He is very professional. He is kind and explains what he is going to do. I had no idea how many days it would even take, I assumed a week. He estimated, before he came, it would take 3 days, it actually took 4 and it was definitely worth the extra day. He made sure the work was completed and looked great, which it did. Matt is definitely going into my contact list and I will make sure friends and family know about him! Thank you Matt! Shawn
I hired Nilto to "finish" a room in my basement which we were turning into a gym. He framed half of a wall, hung drywall on two of the walls and the ceiling, installed an outlet, built a small custom railing, painted the drywall, and installed rubber flooring. Nilto took time to discuss the project and make recommendations based on his expertise. He even came back to our house to discuss the project with my wife and ensure she was comfortable with the plan. The project took a few days longer than expected (mostly due to uncontrollable things like drying plaster...etc) but was still finished in a reasonable timeframe. I had to point out a number of things that needed to be fixed (small things like some screws were sticking out, a few anchors in our concrete walls needed to be removed, the baseboards were a bit crooked), but Nilto took care of them quickly and send pictures to me throughout the project to be sure I was happy prior to returning home from work for the day. Overall, the price was excellent and at that price, I am very happy with the work Nilto did.
Patrick was very responsive by phone and email. He stopped by in the evening after another job to give us an estimate the same day we spoke and decided to stay and complete the job in less than an hour. Termites had damaged a section of an engineered wood plank which he removed and replaced with extra wood we had on hand. The uneven concrete subfloor caused the plank to bow so I had to find weights to keep it pressed into the adhesive. He had left his sand bags at his other job as he had not anticipated doing the work that day. The work was excellent, Patrick was very polite, the price was fair and the clean up fine. I would highly recommend him for floor installations. and repair.
Ramiro built a concrete slab for a BBQ in my backyard. He was very responsible and took his time to make it just right. He and his crew stayed late to make sure it was safe to walk on. I will hire him again.
Victor provided powerwashing and landscaping services for me. My concrete patio courtyard has seen better days. I contracted with Victor and I must say he and his staff did an outstanding job! Nothing but rave reviews from my family and friends who saw the transformation. If you are in the need of power washing, new landscaping, you will not be disappointed. I wish I can show before and new pictures of my patio courtyard. Thanks Victor.
Cove Enterprises prepped and stained my deck and painted my concrete slab patio. They scheduled the work promptly because I was in a time bind (putting my town home on the market). They made sure that the work was completed to my satisfaction; checked with me when there were questions; and they were very upfront about the pricing (which was reasonable). They did a great job and I will use them again! Deborah
B&G Construction did an amazing job! I had them rip up about 200 sq feet of concrete, regrade the backyard, and then sod the entire area. They were able to do the job very quickly, and the price was very reasonable. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I highly recommend B&G.
We needed to have multiple concrete repairs done, and they took care of them all. The work was well done, they were professional and pleasant, and we are quite satisfied. A little follow up work was needed, and they came out and took care of it as soon as our schedules overlapped.
We needed our basement floor leveled and stained, so we sought a few concrete contractors for estimates. Bullfrog Contracting arrived early to meet / discuss the project and they produced a detailed estimate within 24-48 hours of said meeting. The pricing was very reasonable and there were no surprise charges. Bullfrog communicated when they could start the project and how long the project would take to complete. Extremely transparent process. The project was carried out according to plan. Again, no unfortunate surprises. Bullfrog provided excellent customer service throughout the process to ensure the project was completed to satisfaction... even coming back to complete some additional / ad hoc work on the basement. We're happy with our new basement floor and we'd absolutely recommend Bullfrog Contracting!
I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.
I am very happy with the job Raul did for me today. He pressure washed our patio and patio fence at our townhouse, and it all looks great. The concrete patio is decorative with small river stones embedded in exposed aggregate concrete. Someone took time to make this patio years ago, and Raul's attentive cleaning revealed the nice features. The patio fence is 100% better looking too, the garden all still intact and we'll follow Raul's advice to seal the fence as soon as it is dry. He arrived at the agreed time and honored his quote. I recommend Raul!
Adan did a great job of paint in my newly bought house. He came all the way from Gaithersburg to Fairfax and provided me a quote which was really competitive and reasonable. He came to the job himself along with another assistant and finished painting about 700 sq ft of walls and ceiling. Also, he patched big holes left by electrician to lay new wiring along with the paint so that was a bonus. To top it off, he painted the crown moulding and baseboard for free, he told me he wants to make the job look good and said it would look nice to have newly painted trims. Another bonus was that he sealed some concrete cracks on my front door at no cost as well. Looking at his work, my neighbour took his contact info as well. I would definitely hire him for any future jobs that involve dry wall or paint. I would give him 6 stars if i could.
Frank and his crew did an outstanding job for us. They replaced a sidewalk from our drive way to our front steps and fixed a railing for the front steps but most importantly they gave us a new stamped concrete patio out back that is huge and beautiful. They were great to work with and very attentive. Could not be happier. Great service, work and price. Would definitely recommend F&C Enterprises, Inc. In fact we have already to friends, family and neighbors. I believe several have already called him about their projects.
Umana was great, professional, timely, competitive rates, and they did a great job on my stamped concrete patio w/sidewalk. Would definitely hire them again.
I definitely recommend Mek Concrete. Exceptional customer service and above expectations quality. They have unparalleled attention to detail and quality.
