Rhema Designs & Remodeling, Inc.
About this pro
We hired Rhema for a small basement reno in our mid-century townhouse in Alexandria. The scope of work included: adding a full bath, replacing carpet with tile, moving some electrical and finishing a wall. The owner originally estimated the project to take two weeks. A month into the project I began to raise concerns about the workers not showing up for days at a time and questioning when the job was actually going to get done. The owner did not like my questions and chose to engage in an argument which I found incredibly unprofessional. The two week project turned into a four month project and there were all kinds of excuses for why the working team couldn’t show up to work. I reality, the owner booked more jobs than he could handle at once and was doing the bare min to keep the appearance of working. This is a family owned business and the owner and his adult children do some of the work but the majority is subcontracted out. We found the tile layer and the electrician to be very friendly and professional. We were hit with a couple of change orders which is to be expected in this business. All, in all, the work was done and we are enjoying our renovated basement. On a scale of 1-5, I rank the services as follows: Professionalism - 1 On time - 1 Cleanliness - 3 On budget - 2Mar 24, 2018VerifiedEugene G.'s reply
Nora, thanks for your review. There is one critical fact, left out, the plumber on the project became seriously ill, which accounts for a loss of a few months. We did retain another plumber and informed customer of this challenge.
Problem solver and perfectionist. Remodels can be tough, but Eugene is up to the challenge.Sep 19, 2017Verified
