Don was amazing. Hire him. He refinished a wood table that had inlay pieces, and it is spectacular. He also finished well within the timeline he had estimated, gave me the BEST price of everyone who had quoted the job, and then helped me with two other small woodwork projects on my house when he came back with the completed table top. I would give him an OUTSTANDING across the board, and will recommend him to everyone. Period. And I'm picky. Really picky. Oh, and I collect wood pieces (art, furniture, frames, etc.), so did I mention that I'm picky? By the way, he's also a really nice, professional fellow - and as a single mom, that mattered a lot. Two thumbs up, Don - you deserve it!

Don helped troubleshoot a problem with a tall piece of furniture, fixed it and helped move the piece into the room. He was on time, pleasant, and skilled and advised about the finish on another piece of furniture. I recommend him with no reservations.

Don refinished two items for me--a burled-wood chest of drawers dating back to the early 1900s, and a camel-back metal and wood trunk. Both turned out absolutely beautiful. I was concerned about both, but particularly about the trunk, as I've heard trunks are difficult to restore and I've seen some that just looked scrubbed but not really restored. But the trunk absolutely gleams, and the chest of drawers is gorgeous. Don was very professional--he did the work within the time frame he'd given me--and I definitely would rehire him to do any of my refinishing.

We had Don create us a table for our XL Big Green Egg. We designed the custom table and sent Don the specs. He sent us weekly pics of the project status which was so great to see how the project was progressing. We had the table made out of pine and reclaimed mahogany. Don matched the specs perfectly and enhanced the integrity of the design. We completely believe him when he says an elephant can stand on this.
The price was awesome, quality of work exceptional and I don't impress easily. We highly recommend him and I am already thinking of other furniture I can have Don build us. It was a pleasure working with him.

Don did an great job of restoring a kitchen table that had been "abused" and that others had tried--unsuccessfully-- to re-finish and make look decent. Thanks to Don, the table now looks great and will continue in service for many years to come. I also appreciated Don's professionalism and promptness. Don's interaction with me was totally devoid of the high-strung, chuhuaua-like behavior that some of the responding furniture restorer personalities exhibited (a turn off). I would definitely hire Don in the future and would highly recommend his work to others.
