- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I make my pricing as simple as I possibly can. When I send you a quote, I will send you a comprehensive, flat-rate fee for my services that fits your budget, based on your individual needs. No surprises!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
At most events I have done, I have played Top 40 and/or electronic music. The bulk of my experience comes from playing college dances (which really aren't all that different from high school dances), however I have also done a number of gigs at various indoor and outdoor events where I have simply provided background music to fit the occasion.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To anyone looking for a DJ for their event I would have to say this: make sure you give the DJ as much information as you possibly can so that he/she can make the right decision about serving you. When you submit a quote on Thumbtack, make sure you include what kind of music you want, what equipment you will need, how many hours you need the DJ to play and, perhaps most importantly, how much you are willing to spend. If you include all of this information in your request, you should get quotes from well-qualified people in no time.
