These days cost is important, however there are some other things you should look at. Is you guide full time or part time? Are they actually licensed? In the Northwest, most of our rivers are navigable. That means your guide needs a Coast Guard License. Most importantly, they must be fully insured. Full time guide prices are pretty standard throughout the region. Part time guides will have lower prices because they also hold a full time job and guiding for them is more of a hobby. You might save 25.00 - 50.00 per person when fishing with a part time guide, however full-time fishing guides fish on an average of 4-5 days per week, year around. So they are always on top of what is going on. Part time guides fish 1-2 days per week.
