Hands-down, if you're looking for the best bartender to hire, this is the one. We put on a five hour wedding reception for approximately 100 guests. Before the event, she was wonderful at advising us of what to purchase and how much.!she arrived well before the event ton set up and went above her duties, bringing drinks to guests at their tables and busing dirty dishes, etc. She interacted with the guests as well in an extremely warm, hospitable manner. Although I could only give her 5 stars in rating, 10 would be more appropriate. Anytime I host another event, I would hire her and highly recommend her to others! You will not be disappointed in any way with this hire. Thank you for all of your help last night!!!!
Everything was easy from the start with Nola. We were living in Denver and planning a Seattle wedding on a tight budget. It can be hard finding all the right vendors from a different state as we discovered but wasn't once we got on Thumbtack and Nola responded to our catering request. Her menus were the right mix of interesting, fresh and summery with NW focus. Our tasting weekend in Seattle started out rough with a couple other companies that were not as we expected and then we arrived at Nola. From the moment we set foot in her place she exceeded our expectations for food and professionalism. First the food was fresh and delish! We had Salmon with a lovely mango-kiwi salsa, mini peppers stuffed with a blend of goat cheese, asparagus and herbs and her mixed greens with candied pecans, pecorino and pears. All was made to order for us by Nola in her kitchen as we dinned at her table set like a fancy restaraunt overlooking Puget sound. The presentation was simple yet beautiful. She uses the natural food colors to set the plate for an appealing and tasty treat for the senses. She is very organized and with many years of experience. She truly enjoys her career and wants you to have the best. We were impressed with her attention to details of the wedding from the ceremony through the reception. She was genuinely interested in creating a perfect day with us. She was a perfect fit for us because she was not only flexible with our needs but a great resource for ideas. We worked with Shelby for almost a whole year to plan our wedding. We were out of state for most of the time, but she was great with using Skype and keeping a timeline of tasks. We would have regular meetings to go over ideas or plans, but she was always available and answered in a timely manner if we had a question outside of our meetings. The most important aspect is that she really listened to what we wanted and the day turned out better than I could have imagined! Shelby made the whole process stress free and we didn't have to worry about anything the day of. I would highly recommend her for any party/wedding planning or decorating/designing needs.
I have hired Joy Max Catering for my wedding catering for 130 people. Our wedding was on budget and we had only 4 months to plan it. Joy Max Catering has worked with us based on our budget and we were able to pick a menu we wanted. We were able to add and subtract thins we wanted or didn't choose to have. When I first tried my herb roasted chicken, I was wondering how come I could never make a chicken like that. It was tender, juicy and lots of flavor. The food had flavor and it was very homemade & thats what we were looking for. Everyone who I asked about my food, they said it was excellent! I am glad I have met the owner Joy, she is a great person to work with and talk about food. She is very professional, sweet and very very hard working. I would recommend Joy Max for an outstanding ability to work with people, base their menu, arrange payments and also cook a deliciously tasty food. Thank you Joy Max for your services.
Michelle and her team did an amazing job on my wedding for having such short notice to plan. She was very helpful getting my taste to show through with my decor. On the day of the wedding she helped me to stay relaxed and took care of everything. I could not of asked for a better beautiful and wonderful day.
I've received so many compliments on the wedding look and my bridal bouquet . Sandy was extremely patient and attentive with me and helped me pick every single detail associated with my wedding, from my bouquet to the centerpieces. This is important because I was very adamant that I stay within my budget. Sandy always helped me find a less expensive alternative if I suggested something that was too far out of my range. She's very knowledgeable about flowers, ability, and what's in season for your wedding.
My wedding was on May 6th , 2017 and I had to write a review 3 days later because Kari is so amazing!! I found Kari (my I-Do) on thumbtack and basically told her that “we would like to get married in 7 weeks and we have no venue or really any idea on what we want!” She was up for it! The hardest part was that I was not living in Washington until the week of our wedding so we did everything via phone and email. Her communication from the very beginning was so impressive and she had so much experience and was so organized that it was impossible to not trust her completely. She did visit two venues with us (I made it up to WA for the venue views) and she asked all of the questions and took notes and did her thing. We ended up picking Willows Lodge for our venue and had an outdoor ceremony for 40 people. Kari literally did all of the planning for us. I gave her a few pictures of what I liked for flowers, bouquets, overall look and of course, she put together exactly what I wanted and did all of my centerpieces, decorating, everything! Our wedding was absolutely stunning because of Kari. She helped us find the photographer, the officiate, flowers, rental company for centerpieces (which she did all on her own), our quartet, and planned our rehearsal dinner. I just couldn’t have planned a wedding while trying to move out of state and working full time and Kari made my dream wedding happen without making me stress and worry. I was the calmest bride on my wedding day because I knew that Kari would make it perfect…and she did. Thank you Kari for being an amazing wedding planner but also a good person. Working with Mardes is great! Mary is so wonderful to with with. She kept me organized and extend the discounts she got as a vendor to me. Also, I love the designs she can't up with for my wedding they looked great and were in my budget. I would definitely use them again!
Working with Dana was a pleasure from start to finish. She helped my husband and I plan the "details" part of our wedding (primarily reception, but as the ceremony and reception were in the same place, she also had a hand in the ceremony decor). She was easy to work with and has excellent ideas about what will actually work during an event. Admittedly, I'm not great at turning a "vision" into a finished project for these sorts of things. However, I was able to tell Dana a look that I thought I was going for and a "feeling" that I wanted the room and event to have and she was able to turn it into reality. The amount of mind-reading wizardry that this requires is something I can only hope to one day possess (and really, I never will, but at least I know who to call when I need a hit of it). Dana was very responsive by both email and phone, and was able to gently lead me away from bad ideas without making me feel silly. She's also just a delightful person to be around, and always willing to lend an ear if you think you might be on the verge a mental breakdown. On the day of the event, she was there from start to finish and worked her tail off making sure that everything happened. I had let her know that by the time I was in my dress, I really didn't want to know what, if anything, wasn't going exactly as planned - just do whatever she thinks is best to remedy it. As far as I know, she did just that, because I didn't have to deal with any last minute issues and everything turned out better than I could have imagined. I would highly recommend using Dana for any of your event planning needs and won't hesitate to do so again should the occasion call for it!
I have been at a couple different events Katy has taken part in planning, one of which was my own wedding. Katy has an ability to listen to what you want and then find a way of making it happen. She cares about the little things that make it special to you, and takes the time to make you feel heard. One of my favorite examples of this was how she thought ahead about photos that would mean the most to us. On the day of my wedding when everything was moving so fast, she had me stop and take a photo in memory of a friend I lost when I was younger. This photo is something I would have never thought of doing but is a photo I needed and one that will travel with me everywhere. Katy has a way of making each event feel individual but knows how to do it with out blowing your budget. Katy was always available to answer questions and give insight when I needed it. She was supportive with out being pushy and made my day of feel seamless.

Kyro is an amazing wedding planner and I highly recommend her!!!! My fiancé and I had originally planned our wedding ceremony, a year in advanced in Puerto Rico on 12nov17, but due to hurricane Maria, we decided to cancel the Wedding and move it to my hometown in Tacoma Washington. That left us about a month to plan a whole new wedding in a different area. I found kyro on thumbtack and she is amazing! Not only did we have to plan a wedding in a month, she helped my coordinate everything via email while I am stationed in italy ( active duty Air Force). The very first time I met her and talked to her was at my rehearsal, the day before the Wedding and everything fell in place well before I arrived on 8 nov 17. She made all the planning so personal, very responsive via emails and kept me updated with everything she was working on. She gave her opinion on things that were very helpful and kept things running very smoothly esp with coordinating with vendors. She is very personable, attentive, professional and friendly. Cherelle and Igor made our lives so much easier by competently handling many of our wedding decorations. Some of the decorations we definitely would not have been able to set up ourselves, but Cherelle and Igor found a way to make them work. A few examples of the types of decorations that Cherelle and Igor did for us are hanging indoor paper lanterns and flower strands, very classy floral center pieces, and lights hung outside. It was very easy to work with them as Cherelle was very responsive and had a lot of good ideas for us to consider. We recommend them if you are looking for someone to handle any important details of your wedding.
We loved Jaimee! We went to her for guidance and help for our last month before our wedding. We had reached the tipping point of stress and time available to go it on our own. Jaimee had us feeling relief from our first meeting. She took on our wedding planning with joy and commitment that made everyone involved feel great - us, our families, and our vendors. The title Wedding Planner really doesnt seem to do justice to the job that Atiya and her staff perform. I think Wedding Savior comes closer. When I walked past the You Are the Stars booth at the Tacoma Wedding Expo I have to admit I had thought a Wedding Planner was a luxury that only couples with huge wedding budgets had use for. However, Atiya has made me a believer! I talked to several other wedding planners at the expo, but it wasnt until I met Atiya that I started to think there might be something to this whole wedding planner thing after all. I made an appointment to meet with her, much to my fiancés chagrin, to discuss in detail what services she offered. After going over everything You Are the Star offers and discussing our wedding with us, she not only had me sold but my fiancé was ready to sign a contract on the spot! During the planning stages Atiya was able to take our theme and ideas and create something truly magical I never would have been able to pull off without her. Not only was our wedding beautiful, but the money Atiya saved us on things like decorations, chair cover rentals, flowers, and table settings added up to over half of what we were paying her! But where Atiya and her staff REALLY shine is on day of services. Not having to worry about ANYTHING on my wedding day allowed my fiancé and me to really enjoy the moment. They did all the hours of setting up, making sure all the vendors were set up properly and on time, dealing with last minute emergencies, keeping things on schedule, and making sure everyone, not just the groom and I, had a wonderful time. And as the night was ending, her staff packed up everything in our cars for us so we were able to enjoy ourselves right up to the end of the evening. It went so well my guests were commenting on how wonderful Atiya and her staff were! It truly was a magical evening thanks to my wedding saviors from You Are the Star Weddings!
Hannah was the day-of-coordinator for my wedding in Sept, 2015. She was professional, friendly to all (guests, family, and vendors), and always calm. I had a large wedding, with a huge wedding party, and there a few decorating mishaps along the way. But Hannah dealt with everything with wit, poise, and firmness.
