FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I honestly tried to not become a voice teacher because both my parents are music teachers and I don't want to just fall in line with the family business. But thankfully, I finally figured out that this is what I love, so I gave in and went to music school. I may not make a lot of money, but at least I love what I do.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't pick a teacher just because they have an opening, or the price is right. Make sure their teaching style and personality matches you well. See if you can take a trial lesson before officially signing up with them. There's nothing worse than quitting something you love because the teacher wasn't right for you. Every voice teacher is different. Make sure you choose one who will give you what you need.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I will never give up on you. I have had many students give up on themselves, but I kept believing in them and they eventually came around.
