You want to feel confident in your choice in event coordinator, as you are oftentimes time trusting them with a once-in-a-lifetime event. Make sure your coordinator has the experience and knowledge to successfully plan your event; many event coordinators will provide references and you shouldn't feel afraid to hear what other people have to say. In addition to experience, you want to make sure you and your event coordinator are a good fit. You'll be working closely with one another for a few weeks or several months and you'll want to make sure you work well together. Most importantly, however, you want to make sure you hire a coordinator who will share in your vision. This may be the fiftieth wedding for the coordinator, but it's a little different for you. Find a coordinator who listens to your suggestions and works with you to bring your ideas to life. You want to feel good about your event - and your choice in event coordinator!
