Nicole excels as a teacher. I took a 1 ½ hour adult drawing class. Nicole made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. She is very encouraging and supportive. I felt like she was tailoring the class to fit my particular needs. She gives constructive feedback. I have taken a few drawing classes in the past but this was by far my favorite. I felt more productive than I did in other classes. The experience was fun and relaxing. I actually learned a lot of useful techniques in such a short length of time. I never tired. It would have been nice if I had the option of continuing on a bit longer. A workshop might enrich the learning experience.
Caitlin is a wonderful teacher and her love of leatherworking and craftsmanship shows in her instruction. I've participated in two of her workshops and couldn't be happier with the results of my projects. Students should come prepared with ideas and sketches, but also understand that art and inspiration are fluid and ever-changing. Caitlin taught me not to be afraid to try something different! As an engineer, that was the hardest part of my day--to deviate from my plan!
I wanted to take the time to express my sincere appreciation for Mr Edd Cox and the wonderful experiences me and my children have experienced in his studios classes. He truly has an ability to stimulate the imagination through his unique style of guiding others through the creativity process. The pieces of work that my children and their friends have created in his studio have stood the test of time on our shelves not just because they are great pieces of art but because the story behind them is timeless.....the story behind them was the experience with Edd and good times in a completely free environment that allowed us to explore whats inside us all....creative beings.
SHe is extremely knowledgeable and an AWEsome teacher. She has a perfect space set up for classes and has a very encouraging and supportive technique!! I would recommend Janet to anyone who wants to reach in to their own creative "way"
I have taken both Zen Tangle and pottery classes from Heidi Jo which were both fun, well organized, informative, and I left with wonderful end products (beautiful creations)! Great gathering spot for a girls night out!
My Name is Mark and I attended Carols begininng class. I have been to many craft type classes and owned my own Stained glass business for many years. Carol is a wonderful teacher and the Jewelry she has made is beautiful. If anyone is thinking about a class in making Jewelry I highly recommend Carol....She is fantastic!!
My daughters really enjoyed the sketching with charcoals class series. They learned a variety of techniques and drawing perspectives, learned how to give and receive helpful feedback and really grew as artists. I can't recommend Heidi's art classes enough!
I have been taking lessons from her since 2011. I started as a complete novice, no prior experience in painting or any systematic art training. She emphasizes the importance of values, and, once a student masters it, moves onto other aspects of paintings: key, temperature, hue, composition, etc. She wouldn't be giving you a lip service, she would give you a real fundamental training, and beyond if you wish to continue. I feel extremely lucky that I met her, for that I could not afford going to full time atelier or university. If you want to build a solid foundation, I highly recommend her.
I teach art classes out of an art studio in the Georgetown area of Seattle. I have had an art studio there for 17 years and been teaching classes for 12 years. I have been painting in watercolor for 22 years, then added acrylic, and now also do beeswax encaustic. I also demonstrate art techniques at the Daniel Smith Art Store.
We offer fun, affordable classes and workshops in drawing, painting, writing, acting, and filmmaking in the Seattle area. Most of our classes are held on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, Washington.
I teach arts and crafts including beading, collage and mosaics, painting, and parties with themes. I can teach subjects of special interests.
We have a gorgeous Northwest gallery with a full lineup of art classes and workshops taught by our artists. We bring national-class, Northwest artists to show at our gallery, and we provide art instruction for all levels of students.
Studio Broadway is a small and private art studio with a casual environment, situated on a small farm just outside of beautiful Historic Snohomish, WA. It is located 35 minutes north of Seattle, a couple miles north of FlowerWorld & Maltby Cafe. If your children are taking classes, this excellent place lets you enjoy walking the many amazing restaurants and shops, while your child is having a great time creating art and crafts projects! We will complete many fun arts and crafts projects with our hands-on classes, and at the same time, learn new skills and make new friends! They will experience various facets of art, which include: acrylics, watercolor, collage, plaster art, and mosaic. Developing artistic skills provides your child the ability to express themselves outside the box, which is exceptionally important to their development. As many public schools no longer provide or provide art classes, my services are even more important, as I feel each child should have the chance to enjoy, create and explore their artistic side! I also offer adult art lessons and classes. Come and enjoy an evening of "Watercolor & Wine" with my small group of women who like to explore their artistic side over a glass of vino, or need private lessons. I offer those, too! We also provide Girl Scout Art Badge programs! I can come to your location as well. This is great for daycares, play groups, schools etc. Available by appointment and registration only.
