FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’m affordable - a recent customer I visited was quoted 40k for a simple tub to shower conversion and bathroom update. I was less than half! With that said I won’t compromise in quality - so estimates are just that and subject to on-site conditions. Time and materials charge is appropriate for most small jobs and will save you money. Cost for any projects to be discussed and agreed upon prior to signing contract for work. Any changes to jobs will be approved prior to action being taken. I keep the communication high so that as things arise, we can handle them as we go.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A simple chat over messenger or text or phone to get a sense for the project, then I like to meet as many times as it takes to get any questions answered before giving an estimate. Estimates are free!! Upon agreeing to terms we immediately get into design, planning and sequencing of activities for your project, and applying for permits as necessary. Etc. Upon agreeing to a job with me, you’ll have my full undivided attention for the duration of your project.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in the steel fabrication industry and that exposed me to heavy construction. I began welding architectural handrails and the like to expand my capabilities and that led me to becoming interested in fine home construction and fabrication and how I could integrate the two. As the years have gone and worked for a few contractors I found that I enjoyed nearly every part of the process in building beautiful spaces, and turning the old, new again.
