I have used Steve Reid for many projects around my house over the years. He has always showed up at the time he said he would.I have had some electrical problems that have been pretty complicated but he has always been able to figure them out. He is very efficient and always has a good attitude. I have three dogs and he doesn't have a problem with that in fact he is great with my animals and they seem to really like him

Steve has worked for me for several years dealing with a variety of maintenance issues----plumbing, electrical, misc---always professionally and promptly. One particular service was the installation of a crystal chandelier. I had ordered the fixture on line and called Steve to install it. Much to my dismay, it came unassembled with a gazillion pieces, ropes, bobbles, bulb holders. It didn't seem to phase Steve. He very methodically lay all the parts out on the couch, like with like, and proceeded to "build" my new light fixture. I heartily recommend Steve for any maintenance required.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common type of jobs that I get called on, are trouble shooting the customers problems, ie, plumbing, heating, electrical, kitchen and bathroom issues, or estimates for remodeling portions of their homes. Also preventive maintenace or replacement of equipment or appliances that have stopped working. Some senoir citizens offen ask for better door locks, security lighting, or alarm systems. I have a very frugel attitude about not doing a project that might not need to be done at this time, or possibly finding a simpler method that will help the customer save money, and not get shiested like some contructors will do. I always believe that one happy and pleased customer will pass my name on to their friends or family and save me some advertisements.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

First of all I feel stongly about knowing that the contractor has a active license, insurance, and bond, that can make the customer feel more assured about any of the work done. Don't be uninformed about opitions that could save lots of money in the long run, like unecessary repairs that did not need immediate attention. Also have a maximum budget allowed for the task at hand, and have a ball park figure for the total cost of materials needed for that job. Ask questions about my local history and possible local references that will ad some confidence to the customers decision to hire me, or find someone else. If I can't do the job, I probably know how can, since I have over 50yrs. in my home town of Bothell.
