- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If I have to travel to Renton,Issaqua,Granite Falls,Arlington,Marysville than I charge extra for travel time&gas costs. Usually $5-15,which is fair&competative. I usually charge $35 per half hour lesson in your home,which the going rate in a Studio you travel to is from $30-50 per half hour lesson. My rates are not only fair&competative,but it is a fantastic deal beacause I provide more that instruction on how to play any given instrument. I provide a music education on top of mentorship,support,encouragment and inspiration!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes,I attend professional Clinics,music lessons on several instruments,member of music education organizations (WMEA,MENC,TED), professional performance opportunities,recording sessions,read online music technology&music development articles&lectures,read music history(western music&world music),african american music history&music theory referance books&magazine articles,and I learn from my Students every day!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew I wanted to teach while in Middle School. I always enjoyed and excelled in music and sports! I believe that music education can provide so much to any student who participates,such as healing properties,learning discipline,mathmatical skills,right&left brain activity,team work,a safe way to express ones self,building self esteem,hand eye coordination,muscle development/muscle memory,bi-lingual/music as a language,and much more.
