Introduction: My work is my passion. I create my own recipes and don't follow many at all. Putting flavors together is so much fun - ingredients that many would be shy about using. Recently, I designed a beautiful piece of food art. I brought it to a professional chef who loved it and told me to sell it to restaurants and market it. His words were "you will never have to worry about money if you market this." I am not bragging, I am thankful for my culture and family experiences. It is the foundation of my passion. Giving people a delightful experience is what I enjoy the most. It is wonderful to hear comments about the food. It is my way of giving to others because food is nurturing, pretty and a means for connecting with many people. It is a fun, social event for clients. At the end of the evening, I leave with a smile knowing that their event was a success.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read, read, read and experiment. Once in a while, I attend a local cooking class. Also, I talk to other chefs about ideas.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It has always been my dream. I have worked in many restaurants, commercial kitchens and ran a little "hippy restaurant" a while back. I love people, creating works of art, listening to them and providing an appropriate atmosphere , depending on the occasion. Again, food has always been my passion. I love what I do and I do what I love.
What types of customers have you worked with?
If my clients want me to make their meals, I shop for the finest ingredients and make a meal that stays in their mind. I want them to say "I wish I had Kareena's (my gram's nickname for me) lasagna, apple-cheesecake pie, salad... After I have dinner ready, I clean up my mess and silently leave while they enjoy and incredible meal. I can also run their errands, do their shopping (groceries and personal), wrap gifts beautifully and ask for their list of things they need done..
