Would have given 5 stars but their price was not clear and . Added $100 permit fee without clarifying that it would be needed to simply open a breaker panel. They did not clarify that up front so I paid $100 more than I was expecting and quoted from other companies. Technician also was very pushy and insistent on a service upgrade that I did not request an inspection on. I asked for inspection of one thing and they recommended to the home owner a different issue that we were already aware of. They are competent, experienced and punctual but customer service and communication needs improvement.

Details: Repair and/or troubleshoot issues • Electrical not functioning normally • Circuit breaker panel or fuse box • Indoors • Under 8 feet (low ceiling) • House

Alpha Electric Corp's reply
Hello Shaun, I always try to take customer feedback into account when it is warranted, but your review misrepresents the facts. I suppose, after including it in the quote I sent you (https://i.imgur.com/7wpdtLi.png) and discussing it with you over the phone, it was wrong to assume we were both on the same page about the need for a permit to do electrical work. Let me clarify: electrical work should only be performed by a licensed electrician with an appropriate permit, even if it's "just opening a breaker box." You'll find this tends to be the case pretty much everywhere. That aside, the problem we came to troubleshoot was your main breaker tripping, most likely due to excessive load. It seems reasonable to me to inspect the panel and service, calculate the loads and determine whether your panel can supply as much power as you expect. We aren't pushy. We do a good job and we will not be mischaracterized. Thanks, Robert
