Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My work is done correctly, not "quick and dirty". I strive to do every job so that it is neat, clean, structurally sound, safe, and attractive. I am constantly learning new and improved methods for my work. I will not take a job that requires skills beyond my own. Likewise, I will not take a job that the customer does not want done properly. I meet interesting people and get to be creative in the work I do.

Steve did extensive work in my townhouse this fall. He repaired, textured and painting the ceilings after the asbestos-containing popcorn had been removed. This included a very difficult-to-reach area with a high ceiling over a stairwell. The finished product was excellent. He also replaced wall-to-wall carpet in one of the bedrooms with a hard wood floor, painted the walls, refurbished the bathroom, and installed new window coverings. The room now looks beautiful. In addition to his excellent work, Steve has a great personality, is very patient, and is wonderful to work with.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Residential interior sprucing-up. Kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom upgrades; cosmetic or complete tear out and rebuild. Cabinets, shelves, garage storage, closet organizers, woodwork, trim, doors, locksets, you name it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Meet the contractor and have a conversation about your project and how you want it done. Be as clear as you can about your expectations and budget. Discuss your project thoroughly and pay attention to how you feel about the person you're speaking with. You should come away feeling that you can trust him or her. If you feel you can't trust them, or are unsure, don't hire them.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

That every aspect of a project takes time. Preparation work is commonly the most important part of a job, and often takes the longest to do. It takes patience to prep a job correctly, both on the part of the contractor and the client.
