I had the pleasure to have known Misha Carter through having her as my Karate instructor from August 11, 2008 through June 30, 2009. My 8 years old son and I took Karate together at Sensei Carter’s Dojo in Edmonds, and throughout our times there, I got a chance to closely observed Sensei Carter interaction with her students. She has always been very passionate at what she does. Her dedication and patience at teaching her students is unsurpassed. She can always find ways to guide her students to successfully reaching their goals, whether at getting their next belt ranking color or executing a movement with the correct form. Every week, we would sit down after class and she would ask everyone to share what is happening in their lives and we would all talk about it. She genuinely cares about her students, not just in practicing Karate but also about their personal lives.

I didn't take the Karate class but you'll never find a kickboxing class more fun. Don't get me wrong it was tough work but it was fun too. Misha is a very motivating teacher. She keeps you coming back!

Misha taught my son Marco karate for a couple of years and I was always so impressed and grateful for her great teaching method, interspersing karate with wisdom and life skills, combined with her compassion and humanity.

I took Karate from Misha and found her to be a compassionate and knowledgeable instructor with a sincere desire to help her students succeed. The age of the student doesn't matter. I took her classes as an adult and found them to be inspirational and rewarding. She truly cares about her students and her passion for teaching (both Karate and life's lessons) is obvious. I highly recommend her.
