Russell Evans Photography
About this pro
I have always disliked the posing, light adjusting, etc to get the quality photos that one thinks of when "Portrait Photography" is the result desired. With Russel Evans Photography this was a minor detail, as lighting, etc was dealt with in a brief bit of time and the actual taking of the photos was also handled with a professional touch mixed with the warmth of friendly conversation. And the results were absolutely astounding! But what else would you expect from a Professional? Thanks Russ.Oct 27, 2015Russell E.'s reply
Many thanks, Ken. It was a real pleasure working with you and Everett. So glad you're so happy with the portrait!
Russell Evans gives meaning to the adage "eyes are the doorways to the soul". A friend of mine has several family portraits by Russell and when I look at them I experience knowing each of his subjects. When I sit for my portrait, Russell Evans will be on the otherside of the camera!Oct 13, 2013

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?( Please see Our Process above) We discuss our charges with each client in our initial consultation, so there are no surprises as we work together in providing the services and products that fit their needs. We have plans which fit most people's budgets.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? You need to know what to expect or "how it works", so what follows gives an outline for the way we usually work and the process involved, from our first contact to your final portrait delivery Our Initial Contact Our initial phone chat, where we briefly discuss your ideas, interests and preferences, and we determine together when and how to proceed. Next is scheduling an in-person complementary consultation at a convenient location, to ensure your session is well planned... (Usually with professional business portraits and senior portraits the phone consultation is sufficient to move forward.) Our Complementary Consultation: At this first meeting we can get acquainted in person and discuss your project in more detail. We work with you to plan it out, offer help in coordinating colors and styles of clothing that work best, and we can offer ideas on where and how your portraits can best be displayed. This is where we put the session on the calendar. (The retainer fee is due at this time to reserve the session date; this is often applied to the portrait session fee at our discretion.) The Portrait Session: Next is the day of the portrait session... this is a fun day! We'll work to create a series of images with a number of different ideas and settings, with no pressure or stress. We can usually meet any special needs or concerns, so just ask. Expect a really enjoyable time! (The full portrait session fee is due prior to the session.) Viewing & Ordering: Next we present the images from your session, usually within two weeks. This is always a very special time, as by now we know each other well, and all are relaxed and eager to see the images. Once we have viewed the portraits together, narrowed down the choices, and made your selections, we then place your print order. (A minimum of 50% of the total print fee is due with the order.) Delivery and Portrait Hanging: Finally we deliver your finished portraits! We personally deliver these to you, and we're glad to assist in hanging the pieces on your walls, if you like. This is always a very rewarding and positive experience, and we've often formed real and lasting friendships by this time! (The final full balance is due at this meeting.) "How Much Does It Cost?" Our portrait session fee is usually $200-300. depending on the location, number of people, and complexity. Prints, albums, digital products and so forth are additional, but reasonable. Most clients spend somewhere between $600. and $1200. and up, all inclusive. This is a broad range, but gives you some idea of what to plan on; however there is no obligation to purchase anything, and no pressure, ever. Be assured there will be no surprises, and as we work together you will always know in advance what any costs will be. All our clients receive our full care and attention, and we're confident you'll be delighted with the results!
