My voice lessons have been a lot of fun and quite the learning experience. Bryan has been a blast to work with. His long term experience as a teacher, music producer (and professional drummer!) has been invaluable in getting more than just a "voice lesson", but a true "recording studio experience". The ability to have the lessons in a real studio where recording and instant playback is available is unparalleled. Bryanâs ability to provide you with a âbefore pictureâ of one song, compared to that same song a few weeks later speaks VOLUMES toward actually hearing how youâve improved over time. Also a recording studio allows you the ability to really focus on those key nuances in a certain phrase or word in a song to get it perfect when you can do it over and over and over again until Bryan says it's just right. In the studio setting it is so much more than standing there with an instructor over a piano for an hour and then go home and try to remember what you learned. At The Factory with Bryan you get to have access to the actual recording(s) of your lesson available to you at home when you practice during the week. These offerings makes the fundamental lessons regarding vowel phrasing, breathing techniques, etc. so much more fun. Lastly I love the great mix of fundamental lessons applied directly to some of my favorite songs/artists in a recording studio environment. Youâre standing there singing into a screened microphone, with headphones on just like the pros. I mean seriously, how fun is that!?! Just a great experience all around. I'm very happy that I chose Bryan Lash and The Factory for my voice lessons.
My father passed away 3 yrs ago leaving behind his legacy, 15 cassette tapes that are very old and falling apart, he had recorded his music he wrote and sung to. Joe did the transfer of these tapes to cd for us and it only took a couple of weeks, very short time. We were blessed that all tapes lasted long enough for the transfer to happen. Joe is very personable, responsible person and takes great pride in his ability to help those of us who can't pay the big bucks. Joe went above and beyond because normally this would have cost us so much more and we just didn't have it. He was able to clean up some of the tapes for us without charging more. He only asks you to donate what you can, I had never heard of any recording studio doing this. Thanks to Joe we now have my father's legacy safely on cd's. We feel blessed to have met Joe and have the opportunity to work with him. It was smooth sailing ! Thank you Joe for all your hard work, your dedication, and for the love you show in helping others. I'll be continuing to work with Joe in future projects.
Ken was able to create a teaching method designed to teach a visually impaired student. I'm amazed on how simple yet effective his methods are. Lessons were FUN yet productive. I can't emphasize enough the value of having a professional recording studio/engineer/teacher offered through Ken Fordyce and Mirror Sound Studios.
My experience at Undercaste studios was extremely pleasant for my first time in a studio. Very professional and friendly. These guys know what they're doing! I will definitely go back time and time again!
I've just begun with Vanessa but she seems perfect for what I am trying to learn. Her interests in the impact of sound vibration and the voice's healing capacities fit my goals to a tee. She is such a warm, gracious person that she overcome my shyness about learning to sing at this stage of my life.
Ken is a maestro at creating great sound. From pop to punk to opera, Ken knows all the tricks to bringing out the best in your music. He is a multi-talented instrumentalist and can improvise terrific guitar or bass tracks to any song. When you need to add more instruments to add that extra magic to your tunes, he brings in top-notch drummers, sax or clarinet players and blends them into a fantastic final mix. When I need a studio for recording, mixing and mastering my songs, I go no further than Mirror Sound. Glenna Burmer, Managing Director, BurmerMusic LLC (www.burmermusic.com), www.glennaburmer.com
Braden was very professional. His studio is very high quality and his system for mixing and mastering is very efficient. Was a pleasure recording with him and would definitely recommend him to any up and coming artists.
Our band, Strange Jerome was looking to record quickly and at a fair price. Jason Shavey and Synergy Productions met our needs. We had a lot of fun working with him, he's a wizard with a great sense of humor. His recording studio is very professional. Comfortable too. We love the album we worked on together and we look forward to producing another project with him again.
We recorded our demo CD at Edgar Sounds. He did a great job to facilitate the recording process, was very knowledgeable about technical details. The mix and master he did sounds great - just perfect!! Throughout this project Edgar did not push us into what he thought to be right; we were in charge and he supported us to get to the sounds and results which we envisioned.
Rhema Word Productions is a trustworthy business. His studio is awesome. It's professional. I enjoy working with Steve Brown, the owner. I've had the opportunity to record a video in his studio. I was impressed with his work and the way he does it. He worked with me. He coached me what I needed to do since it was my first experience in the studio. He made me feel comfortable working with me. He's a powerful man of God and today, God's people need to be working together to make a difference in this world. I will recommend him to all who's looking for a trustworthy man to do business with. He is producing my electronic duo album and he made my songs way better than I could imagine. He was very reliable, talented, and very encouraging while I recorded vocals. He seems like he knows a lot about music. His studio is small but does a great job recording. I highly recommend him and his studio for any artist looking to record. On top of the he is one of the nicest person I've ever met.
Very friendly staff, set up inside a charming old two-story house with fantastic little studios in every room. Generally a very warm and inviting place with knowledgeable staff.
I have taken lessons from Bob Crow for the past five years, and I have nothing but great things to say about Bob, his teaching style, and all the great songs that I have learned. When I first started taking lessons, I was a competent flat picker (at best), but I could not finger pick, count times or take on challenging songs. Thanks to Bob's patient teaching style, I now regularly take onand masteradvanced-level songs.
