holiday parties (3 events) -- food was very good, caterers were friendly and thorough, other than arriving a few minutes late to the events, we have no complaints--thanks Joy!! Merry Christmas!Dec 13, 2014Verified
Joy was a real pleasure to work with, she was very professional and helpful in our selection of food for my daughters wedding. Joy always responded to our needs quickly and on the day of, she was there on time and had everything set up and ready as planned. We had more than enough food and everyone had good comments on the menu. Make sure that your tables are large enough and if you want a fancier look to your tables, I would recommend providing nice serving dishes, serving utensils and baskets for rolls, etc. The food was arranged nicely. Thanks Joy for a job well done.Aug 26, 2014Verified
I have hired Joy Max Catering for my wedding catering for 130 people. Our wedding was on budget and we had only 4 months to plan it. Joy Max Catering has worked with us based on our budget and we were able to pick a menu we wanted. We were able to add and subtract thins we wanted or didn't choose to have. When I first tried my herb roasted chicken, I was wondering how come I could never make a chicken like that. It was tender, juicy and lots of flavor. The food had flavor and it was very homemade & thats what we were looking for. Everyone who I asked about my food, they said it was excellent! I am glad I have met the owner Joy, she is a great person to work with and talk about food. She is very professional, sweet and very very hard working. I would recommend Joy Max for an outstanding ability to work with people, base their menu, arrange payments and also cook a deliciously tasty food. Thank you Joy Max for your services.May 1, 2014Verified
Our company hired Joy Max Catering to provide a traditional holiday meal for our 2013 Annual Employee Holiday Luncheon. There was more than enough delicious food to go around for the 100 employees in attendance, and everyone was very pleased with the quality of their meals. The delivery timing was spot on, and everything was still piping hot despite the 30-45 minute drive to our somewhat remote location. Joys prices were very reasonable, and she was more than agreeable to work with. Joy was always willing to adapt to our needs, and was also capable of providing for last minute additions to our head count, which was much appreciated. We would definitely choose Joy again for future company events. Thanks Joy!Jan 9, 2014Verified
- What types of customers have you worked with?As a caterer the bulk of our jobs have been weddings but hve also been the caterers for memorials, military drills, and company picnics. Most often our clients have us do the catering and rentals. Our clients who have had us do the ful scale planning and execution have been very pleased also.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? The advice I have to offer is always compare apples to apples! *When you get several bids from different caterers always compare the servings per item, the staff if included, whether all the caterers are including beverages and the place settings. Look for flexibility! * Your caterer should be willing to build a menu around you, add little touches that reflect you, etc. I would be hesitant about a cater who willn't work with you on the deatials. Consider Getting as much through your caterer as possible this can save you time and money! * Some caterers like myself can do/provide your wedding cake, the bartenders, and the rentals which means less work for you and less worry. Often they can get the rentals with a discount and they have developed relationships with the vendors. Also ask the caterer questions! * Ask what happens to the leftovers as most caterers hold the rights to the leftovers so they keep them even though you pay for it. * Ask what is included for the amount quoted and get it in writing. Afterall it is no fun for you if on the day of your event you find added surprises on your bill.
