- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My own personal experiences forged the incredible bond and connection I have with animals so I wanted to give back. And my Hawaiian roots pushed me to work with two healing modalities that could and would make a difference in a dog's life.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Dog owners wanting to improve their dog's health, especially when something seems off-balance, request Reiki energy medicine. It calms and relaxes their dog. But I have to include those clients wanting a comfortable means for the end stages of their puppy's life to ease the stress and fear. Massage clients have dogs with injuries and sore muscles. It really speeds up the healing process and comfort for their dog.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In talking to a perspective service provider, I want to know how did he/she choose this vocation, what are their credentials and experience with dogs and their owners. How long have they been working with dogs? And have they ever worked with my breed of dog? What is this business owner's philosophy and style when working with dogs? And why do she/he use it? I want to take the time to get a feel for this person so that I know there's a match in what they offer and what I am looking for and wanting to achieve. After all, this is my dog, who I want to make sure has a great experience, as well as, myself, feeling confident that I made the best choice possible.
