FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my retail pricing is available on my website, TommyJohnsen.com. I typically quote projects lower than the retail pricing when working with customers through Thumbtack.com. The more specific we can scope a project the more I can dial in a reasonable price. It's important to remember that for every hour spent onsite that creates just as much time if not more in editing. I am very flexible on the types of customers and projects that I work on. My goal is to provide you exactly what you want at an affordable price. The better I can understand a new customers needs the better I can solve their problems. I would encourage you to feel free to be detailed in your request.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer I expect that they can be as detailed as possible when describing the work they need help with and the expectations they have regarding deliverables. This will help me deliver precisely what they need and not waste their time or mine. I ask for a 50% deposit before I begin work and 50% upon completion of the project. I have a standard contract that I use for projects and will send via DocuSign.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Business and Sustainability from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. Prior to starting school I started a graphic and web design company in the Seattle area and later a Hip-Hop recording studio in Olympia while attending college. Throughout my college career I've studied photography and have since utilized it as a major component in the marketing work I do. I have continued to design websites, manage social media marketing efforts, create digital advertising campaigns and more.
