FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a face to face meeting if possible but with schedules it does not always work out so I will email or phone and text couples interested in my services. When I am hired I like to give the couple sample vows, reading, rituals etc. so they can choose what fits them the best. I am always available for more meetings or calls throughout the process. As I have said earlier I believe that the ceremony needs and should be a reflection of the couple, it is not anyones place to say what or what not to do in their ceremony! I am happy to guide them and offer suggestions.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been performing weddings for over 20 years.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My wedding officiant business is very rewarding. I work with such a variety of people and personalities. I truly enjoy making their ceremony one of a kind, whether it is an elopement, backyard wedding or black tie! When two people decide to make a life together it needs to be celebrated and respected in the tradition that they both are most comfortable in. Additionally I have a small chapel in Issaquah WA where I host weddings, memorial services and baby dedications. I also travel throughout Washington to perform these services. I have recently started doing home dedications/blessings!
