- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?NASM Certified Personal Trainer & Weight Loss Specialist; AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor; HIIT & TRX certified; Licensed Zumba Instructor
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was 47 yrs old and had spent 4 years getting a degree in psychology. During this time, I had gained a lot of weight and lost a lot of muscle tone (too much time spent sitting and studying and not enough spent moving - none spent exercising). I had a bad knee from a previous injury and wore a knee brace most of the time. My doctor told me I was obese and needed to lose weight before my health was affected further. So, I joined a local gym, joined in on fitness classes, and hired a personal trainer. Now, I have lost weight and gained more muscle tone than I have ever had. I feel great and I haven’t had to wear my knee brace in almost 2 years! I have a passion for helping women to be and feel their best and after seeing the powerful ways in which a personal trainer can help with this, I decided this was what I want to spend my life doing.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 60s & 70s who wanted to lose weight, tone up, increase their stamina, regain balance, gain control of their eating habits, and have better health.
