Introduction: My Resume and Recommendations: I've built and sold a $12.8-million service company, co-founded a consumer product company, launched and closed start-ups, and coached 100s of entrepreneurs/business owners, and I teach entrepreneurship and marketing at Northwest University. Coaching. Projects. Program management. Part-time team. I work across industries with business owners and directors to exceed goals and deliver results. I've failed fabulously and I’ve succeeded. I didn’t get a business coaching certificate, and I’m not a glorified project manager whose never built a multi-million dollar company or failed at start-up. I've been responsible for the P&L and the people — not a mere manager or employee consulting others. I've lost money and I've hit home runs, and now, I can help you. “I hired Pam to help me find a way to be creative again in my business. However, what I received instead was a total reinvention of my business, inside and out. This unexpected path has helped me feel alive again inside my business and find new sources of revenue. I have owned my business for 20 years, and I had become narrow in my thinking. "Pam brought her vast business skills to our meetings, helping me expand my thinking, and challenging me to find simple ways in which to grow my business. I hired Pam to work with me, and found an incredible ally; her work with me these last months has been similar to having a business partner. "I have changed, my business has changed, and most importantly for me, my enthusiasm and my interest in my business has been revitalized. I received much more than expected from working with Pam." Michelle D. Valeo, Therapeutics on November 28, 2010 My Story: After earning my undergraduate degree in marketing (at the University of Illinois, Chicago), I thought I knew most everything about business; I didn’t. Thankfully, I was hired as a Regional Supervisor, and over the years, I began to learn what prior to that, I assumed I’d mastered. Immersed in the lives of my team, on the front line of a service business day in and day out, I quickly learned that the heart and soul of business is people. As much as I loved marketing and communication, my interest paled in comparison to my passion for helping people unleash their best to achieve a common goal. It was during my 16-year stint at Third Dimension, which I co-owned, where we served over 25,000 clients a week with 500 employees, that I learned how to grow and scale businesses, and it was here where I also co-founded my first consumer product brand. After selling the company to an international competitor, I went back to school and earned my master's in teaching (MAT Seattle Pacific University). Before too long, I was back in business, knee deep in a social venture, which did capture the attention of Nordstrom but did not get adequate funding, thus allowing me to learn all about start-up sequence and business failure. Yes, I've failed. Dramatically. Yes, I've succeeded, and if you’re not working with a team that has done both, you’re at a disadvantage. Soon thereafter, I began collaborating, teaching and training entrepreneurs, leaders and MBA and undergraduate students everything they wanted to know about entrepreneurship, marketing, social marketing, business and leadership. To date, I've teamed with businesses on both coasts, in Mexico and in small towns like Edmonds, Washington. I’ve worked in pre-start up; I've helped sell businesses, scale and grow operations, launched new ventures, developed new products, helped people re-invent themselves, their companies and their marketing. I've worked across every industry, from consumer products to coffee shops, bakeries, legal, finance, service firms, social ventures and online gaming. “Pam inspires and thinks big. She helped me put shape to my big idea. She has this fantastic ability to ask the right questions and guide you through a process that brings clarity to your vision. She helped me define my business model while keeping me focused on sustainable revenue streams. Mine is a social venture and Pam is passionate about changing the world. I am grateful to know her and look forward to my next opportunity to learn from her. Thank you, Pam!” — Pam Blanton I offer real results by someone whose been there, done that and still doing it!
