John Durant, Always Hauling, called me the next day after I asked for a phone call. Gave me a reasonable estimate for all the construction debris I needed to remove from a kitchen re-model...showed up the next day...we added a lot more stuff when he got there...price increased, but again, very reasonable. Great company to do business with, very professional & personable people. Definitely use this company again. Thank you, John
Easy to work with and completed the job (debris removal) as discussed.
Karl was very responsive and courteous. Will definitively use for all debris removal needs in the future.
Jarrod was fantastic! He mounted our TV and came up with creative solutions to reroute the cables through the drywall so all our devices could be hidden in the closet behind the TV wall. What stood out for me was his attention to detail and his intent to ensure the customers get what they want. Communication was spot on and with a baby in our home he ensured there was not too much dust and whatever was produced was well contained. And he cleaned up very well after he was done. Job took a tad bit longer than we anticipated but Jarrod made sure it was fine and done right! Can't wait to hire him again for other stuff
My recommendation for Corey is unconditional. He began his first project with us in March of this year when when a friend recommended that he would be good help since I needed to get everything off of two decks in preparation for resurfacing. There were big old terracotta pots full of hard packed soil and the upper deck was up 3 stories. Corey figured out how to do this efficiently and kept up a brisk pace. Once the decks were finished he carried the new pots and all of the soil and new plants back up. Corey was careful to check in with me on coordination so that he could be back as soon as the deck was ready. Our next project was cleaning out the side yard including an old fence, construction debris from the project next door and overgrown plantings and material to go to hazardous waste dump. Corey was quick and organized, set up a system for sorting and brought a helper and huge truck to dispose of the stuff. Over the years I have tried to clean up this area but the project seemed overwhelming and no one knew how to attack it. Our house on Queen Anne Hill is 100 years old and there is always something that needs to be done. Corey has a key and I keep a list so he stops by when needed and takes care of things. A special recommendation for Corey is that my dog loves him and she is a very good judge of character.
Very happy. Showed up within the window provides and quickly removed our construction debris. I will be hiring again.
Cleaned Gutters. Did an outstanding Job. Took pictures to show me results and showed me bucket full of debris he took out of gutters. Not inexpensive but worth the price considering the condition of the gutters. Is coming back to wash my windows at a later date.
Martin took care of a year's worth of yard debris in a matter of hours. He did such a great job that our neighbor asked him to come over when he was done. Martin was incredibly flexible. He met with us and completed work within 48 hours. We highly recommend Martin and Herrera Landscaping!
Carlos did a wonderful job with the 3/4 removal of a tree located in a very tight spot between 2 city homes, whose branches also had grown into the power lines. This required a power drop and additional care and knowledge. He and his crew did the job for the price quoted, which was very reasonable, and left no branch behind! I was more than pleased with the work, will use Carlos Landscaping again, and will recommend him to anyone needing ANY type of lawn, land or tree care! :-)
They were cheaper than others but I added a tip. Also they don’t sweep up area after taking trash as other companies have in the past. That’s a small thing but was a nice bonus from another company
Pedro did such a great job removing the concrete pad in our yard. He was very friendly and easy to work with. We are looking forward to working with him on our next project.
Great experience with Dennis on a garbage disposal removal and install. Highly recommend!
Orange Trees Garden and Landscape has been doing my gardening and landscaping for a few years and it has been a huge cost savings and my yard always looks amazing. I also use their service for clearing my gutters and pressure washing my patio. Excellent, responsive, professional work every time. Highly Recommend!
We had lots of debris from our tearing down lath and plaster walls. Noel responded quickly, was on time, worked quickly and cleaned up everything and hauled it away for a very fair price. Highly recommended.
We just did a complete remodel of our backyard. It was literally torn down to nothing and rebuilt. The job involved removing existing patio, cutting down a tree, clearing all the plants, removing steps, leveling the whole yard, building retaining walls, fence, gates, laying a fairly large patio area with pavers, building a fire pit area with flagstone, drainage, sprinklers and planting. I hired G&E based on the reviews on thumbtack and I couldn't agree more with some of the reviews about their professionalism. They are easily among the best contractors I have worked with. Reliability, Punctuality, Accountability, Flexibility, and Quality are some of the key qualities I was looking for and they fit it perfectly. We are very happy with how our yard turned out and it is better than what we have envisioned. I would definitely hire Polo and team again for any future work. If you are looking to get any landscaping work, don't think twice about G & E.
I needed to remove an old retaining wall that was falling down and rotting. It was made of railway ties and was 70' long and 5-6' high. Julio and his crew did a great job without complaining. The job turned out to be much bigger than anticipated. All the work had to be done by hand including the removal of 80 old HEAVY ties from a steep hill. They also had to carry most of the stone and fill in 5 gallon buckets due to the location of a shed and the collapsing hillside. The wall itself collapsed adding to the difficulty. Add to that the nasty cold and rainy weather and it was not fun. They replaced the wall with new 6x6x8 treated landscape timber and reinforced it with posts in concrete. They also installed a drainage system which the first wall did not have. Throughout it all, they had a tremendous attitude and were promising that the job would get done and that they wanted to do it right. Julio did not ask for more money than his bid(even though the job probably took twice as long as planned). I did voluntarily give him additional funds. It was well worth it and the wall looks great. I now have confidence that my shed and house will not be sliding down the steep hill into the creek.
Sheldon did some excellent work at our house. The garden areas look great and he also removed a small tree. I was a little worried about the project finishing by the day we agreed on but Sheldon and his crew stayed and worked late in order to finish on time. He is a man of his word.
Julio and his team were amazing! They worked on our substantial yard for a few days to remove the existing bark mulch, put down weed fabric, and cover it with new mulch. He took care of every detail - from removing the old mulch to picking up and delivering the new mulch- so we didn't have to worry about a thing. We were so pleased with his work that we've asked him to continue maintenance. We were impressed by his attention to detail, his work ethic, and that he went above and beyond the scope of work agreed to. Pick this team and you will not be disappointed.
The Job: I had a large amount of final grade dirt on the side of my yard I needed removed. It is dirt mixed with all size round rock, along with grass trimmings and some grass that had grown wild. The rocks I liked and I was hoping to keep but I assumed there was no way because who is going to sift through 2'x4'x16' pile to find the good size rocks... All 5 other bids for the job said no and tried to charge me 2.5x-3x what Ben charged. This was his first job of this kind, he did the research and initially didn't know where he was allowed to dump this and so couldn't do the job. And he apologized severely for it and felt bad he couldn't help us. When we found out where he is allowed to take it and asked him to look into it, he did so the SAME DAY. He called the location and the same day he said can I come at 6 and at 6 he showed up and the crew finished the job (INCLUDING SIFTING) finished the job in less than 2 hours. They asked me repeatedly how much further down I wanted them to remove from the dirt to make sure it was to my satisfaction. They made sure it was flush with the fence and the concrete in place. They made sure it was even all they way across and flush with the front ground level. They didn't leave till they were certain that I was happy with the job. I would hire them again for anything I need. They will be my go to people for sure. Character: Ben and his crew were so awesome. When they were leaving I actually told them they can come hang out sometime. That is how friendly and polite they were. That is just to speak to their character. Speaking to the job, it was done above my standard. None of the other bids came in close to Ben's price to begin with but he went above and beyond what others were willing to do.
Tim was very responsive in wanting to meet our weeding needs. Very professional, caring and courteous. Meticulously removed all the weed and moss in our mulched back and side yards. I would highly recommend him.
Did a good job of removing blackberries - Good scheduling, quick work, and for the quoted price.
