Im provided with private violin lessons and I feel really grateful to have Kimmy as a teacher. She really relates to you on a level seldom teachers do. She's very supportive and laid back yet pushes you to improve too. No complaints! :)

I am currently taking guitar lessons from Ken. He is both knowledgeable and patient. He provides instruction that makes use of multiple learning styles and is responsive to my input. His rates are very reasonable considering the quality of instruction he offers.

Dr. Krentz is an excellent teacher of both technique and expression, enabling the students to truly excel and thus thoroughly enjoy playing the cello. His dedication to his students is seen in every lesson and he works tirelessly to ensure their progress and success. His methods are backed up with extensive, sound research and he explains the reasoning beneath each physical motion of playing the cello and creating a beautiful tone. He's an inspiration for myself, another cello teacher who's been very lucky to work with him!

Ananta is an exceptional violin teacher. She's patient, professional and fun. She starts from the ground up, leaving her students with a lifetime of great habits. She has given my daughter a love for music that will last a lifetime and you can't put a price on that! Ananta is amazing in her own right, making students want to practice so they can be as amazing as her someday. I highly recommend her for any student at any age. You don't come across a music teacher like her everyday.

Haeyoon Shin Studios offers amazing cello lessons at a top notch level. The studio is intense and pushes students beyond the skill level they thought possible. The studio has a well thought out practicing method that all students use, and it completely changed the way I myself play the cello. I cannot imagine where I would be with my instrument if I had not joined the studio, nor can I believe how much I improved in such a short time. She is a high demand teacher, with an extremely busy schedule. If you know going in that lessons may be rescheduled, and that time must be flexible between the student and the teacher, then all you have to do is practice hard, and watch your playing improve exponentially.

About

I offer cello lessons to people of all ages and skill levels! I have been classically trained for 15 years privately and institutionally. As of now, I am in Tacoma offering lessons just during the summer before I return to grad school in Toronto. Please use my contact via my website if you have any questions!

About

I believe in a truly holistic and deeply committed and involved musical education for every student, so in addition to tailoring my curriculum for each, I offer a variety of additional activities to enrich the musical experience, from studio classes and recitals to workshops, cello ensembles and more. There are so many more things to learn than can be taught in a single private lesson each week, and I try to do as much as possible to bring that to my students' educational experiences.

About

The Suzuki method is specifically designed for teaching children music in the same way that they learn natural language and life skills. My philosophies and methods work fantastically for children as young as three and can be easily modified for teens and adults.

About

I am a highly trained cellist who studied at Oberlin College and Indiana University and offer lessons to all ages including adult beginners. I use the Suzuki books in conjunction with my advanced study to bring out the most expressive performance through the best possible technique. I travel to your centrally located Seattle home for weekly lessons and offer performance opportunities annually.

We are a family known locally for our transcriptions. We teach piano, violin, viola, cello and bass, as well as very beginner flute and drum lessons. We also teach basic music theory and help others try to learn how to transcribe their very own favorite songs to any instrumentation. We also perform our own transcriptions for various events, such as weddings, services and parties, and we take any custom requests they may have, from Elvis Presley to the Beatles and Miley Cyrus.

About

I've been musically inclined since the young age of 2. I have a complete music room equipped with instruments, baby grand, and a two-staff white board for learning that I teach from. I will meet and beat any competitor's 30-minute lesson rate if my rate is not already the lowest around. I prefer beginners age 6 to 14, but I negotiate on age. For advanced music theory, I will teach any age. Let me formally introduce myself to you to show you my qualifications. I'm Laurie Walsh, and I have been singing multi-part music for 14 years and playing violin for 13 years, cello for 8 years, flute/piccolo for 5 years, and piano for 9 years, and I am currently picking up the harp. I have traveled the country competing on my violin and with my voice. I was asked personally to play at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and for the Emperor of China in 2006. I act and sing professionally for my college, and I have received many casting calls for leading female parts in Broadway musicals, such as Wicked, Cirque Du Soile, Side Show, Once Upon a Mattress, Glee, and many more. For my young age, I have accomplished a lot, and I plan to teach music for the rest of my life not only at home as my hobby, but also as a university teacher, along with continuing my acting career on center stage. I can promise you that your child will begin to read music clearly within the first 4 weeks that they are enrolled with me. Teaching music is a God given talent I have received, and I would love nothing more than to share it with your children, so they can experience it, too. Parents are welcome to stay with the child during the lesson; there is also the Lakewood town center right down the road if you prefer your child to be independent. I offer the following: - Private 30-minute lesson is $20 per child. - Group (2-5) 30-minute lesson is $15 per child. - Private 60-minute lesson is $30 per child. - Group (2-5) 60-minute lesson is $25 per child. Discount information is found below. I offer lessons on the following: - Violin - Cello - Piano - Voice - Flute - Piccolo - Music theory - Advanced music theory I will be offering harp lessons once I have learned my way thoroughly around the harp. I also offer a 10% discount on the price of lesson if paid at least four lessons in advance. Unlike most private teachers, I incorporate music theory into the lesson free of charge. Music theory teaches a child about the music staff and the notes that fall on it, and I feel that learning the basic concepts of music theory will be the foundation on great musical success for them.
