I hired Stephen to install three exterior doors and then discovered he had many carpentry talents and kept him on for a variety of other jobs. He demonstrated significant knowledge of his trade and an ability to solve problems resulting in a very nice result. I do recommend him.
Needed to extend plumbing vents through a metal roof on a rainy day. They knocked it out quickly.
He replaced an interior door for me. The door I got ended up being the wrong size, so he fixed it and made it work!
He was running a little behind schedule, but it was worth the wait. A loose pocket door and a screen door were fixed very well.
Robert & Julie, I cant express my gratitude enough to both of you for the excellent work you did for my mother! I was lucky to have found you through Thumbtack. You responded to my request within a couple hours and met me and my mother the very next day. You walked in to an awful situation a total mess, due to a bad, inexcusable, sloppy delivery job from Sears. Their laziness caused severe water damage from the new refrigerator my mother purchased, as they did not put on the new water hose (which my mother paid for) and left the old one on, which split open and caused a leak. My mother (who is 71 years old) and I were getting nowhere with Sears. They didnt want to take responsibility. We didnt know how to proceed. You went way above and beyond your job as a contractor. You told us about the laws in Washington State and that Sears and their delivery contractors are 100% liable. You said you would make all the calls and that she wouldnt have to pay a dime. You called all the right people (which took hours and hours of your time) and got the ball rolling! You were able to get her home owners insurance to step in right away and pay for the damages upfront so you could begin working right away, so that my mom could use her kitchen, hallway, and bedroom again. You were able to get her home owners insurance to go after Sears/delivery Contractor Company! You also did many, many other things for us. You noticed little things here and there that needed to be fixed in her house and didnt charge her for fixing them. Nobody else would do this. One of the many things you did that goes way above and beyond is that you saw what a hassle it was for mom to get in and out of her house, due to the doors and screen doors having 3 separate keys!!! Juliethank you for going and making her one key that fits all of the doors!! You also dealt with Home Depot for us, for damaged doors they put in and the damage they caused installing them. You again made all the calls (which took hours of phone time again) and were able to get the store manager and supervisor out to moms house. You got her half her money back and got the OK to fix it properly and repair the damage! You certainly didnt have to do this. But I know you did it because you heard what a nightmare it had caused my mother and that they were not being fair to her. Thank you for the fantastic work you did fixing my mothers house, Robert! Thank you, Julie, for all of your help, sitting with my mom and being her friend, and helping out Robert every step of the way. You both are very compassionate, honest, hard-working, and all-around awesome! You took the stress off my mom by taking care of everything. EVERYTHING!! As you know, this is just a short summary of what you did for us. We know that you are way more than a contractor. You both are beautiful people with big hearts. Ill be forever grateful to you. Kathy Willoughby
The guys did several maintenance jobs for me. Fixing a gutter, replacing downspouts, repairing a screen door, changing out a light, etc. They did a great job, no complaints.
Jaclyne is a very nice lady and did a good job. I work 75 to 80 hours per week and my home life suffers for that. Jaclyne had a tough job with a lot of dishes and a dirty oven. My oven is sparkling. Some of the dishes had a bit of residue but for the most part all clean. The rest of the service was basic but sufficient. She dusted, vacuumed, and scrubbed my bathtub and bathroom floors. I would hire get again.
This company has done a ton of stuff for me, from small things like installing a dishwasher, through roof repairs and tearing down walls to combine rooms, to building a very difficult retaining wall. I get the impression nothing is too small or too big. Prices are extraordinarily reasonable. I wouldn't call anyone else.
We had a very good experience with the Reed Painting Company. We needed the interior of our mid-century lathe and plaster house painted, and we needed it done within 2 weeks. It took a few days for us to initially meet, but that is to be expected when you call and want to meet immediately. Randy came by with a portfolio of work the company had done for other clients. He was well-prepared and had additional certification (lead paint removal) that was nice (although there wasn't much removal in our job). He measured the rooms, took note of the various and numerous holes and cracks in our old house, and gave us a bid within 24 hours. He also included a colorist, Sheila, in the deal. Her help was crucial. Randy sent the bid by email, which was nice, as it was quite long. It covered about everything. The crew came in on Monday and was finished by Friday. That's kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, entry and hallway. Also kitchen cabinets and doors! They used a lock box so we didn't have to be there to let them in. They started the project when we asked them to, finished on time, and even accommodated us beyond the contract: they removed window coverings, they allowed chimney repair contractors to share the space for an hour, and they met with us on a Sunday for the 'walk through'. Our only complaint was that they rolled on the paint on the kitchen cabinets, instead of using brushes. Maybe that should have been discussed....I assumed they would brush those, so I can't fault them entirely. We would use them again, and may do that soon for the exterior painting.
I had a front door and screen installed and Craftsman Construction did an excellent job. They were so very professional and efficient, in addition to being very nice. I was so impressed that I have two other tasks that I hope to have started in January. And they cleaned up after themselves, wow! Craftsman Construction is definitely who you want to take care of any construction projects.
Scott came to my home to remove an old over the stove hood vent and light assembly; which included the removal of it, the cleaning of the duct that vents through the roof, and then the installation of the brand new hood. He did a great job. He was on time and thorough and as an addition while on the roof, he threw in some time to clean out the gutters while inspecting the roof itself. I already have in mind a few more jobs for him. His rates are competitive plus he's a very nice guy.
I hired Gerauld to complete the installation of window security screens and security doors. He was easy to get a hold of and was flexible in accommodating weather related delays and completed the job in a professional manner. This specific job aligned with his prior experience in window / door installation and he was very knowledgable in the area.
There were multiple jobs that I had around my condo, i.e.replacing a screen door to my outside patio, replacing hardware in the bath room, installing a new drapery rod in living and hanging a large, 3 mirror in my living room. Dennis is a true Professional, in that he is on time when he states he will be there for the job, honest, his "word" is everything. And of course the pride on doing a good job. He is meticulous in wanting every part of the job looking perfect. Those are the qualities that are valued by me and will want to use him for other projects in the future. He is Super!!!
Chris with short notice, during this busy time of year, helped me replace the carpet, linoleum, minor repairs (re-caulk areas, trim repair, installation of new screen door and microwave), paint the whole interior of my townhouse located in Lynnwood WA, making sure it was ready to go on the market all within 3 weeks notice. I was impressed with Chris's ability and effort to organize all of the work that needed to be done in such a short period of time. This saved me time and effort being able to work with one contractor and it was very important to work with someone I could trust to get the work done as I live in CA. Chris communicated with me about the timing and went above and beyond to make sure everything happened in the time frame requested and to my liking. When I didn't like how the linoleum turned out with the trim, Chris went outside the scope of work to add shoe moulding to make it look better. He did this at the end of his work day, unasked, so that I could put it on the market the next day with all the work completed. I highly recommend Chris and his crew for any home improvement work that you need done.
Jake did a great job and returned in a timely way to make an enhancement on one of the screens. I will call him again when I choose to replace other existing screens.
