Introduction: Pets have been a huge part of my life. As a youngster, I grew up with dogs, cats and guinea pigs. My love for animals has stayed with me to this day. As a pet owner, I felt it was important to learn as much as I could about dogs and cats. So, I've researched information from a variety of veterinary websites, as well as from my own veterinary clinic staff. In addition to caring for my own animals, I've provided pet and housesitting services for others, including overnight care, extended day visits, and light housekeeping. I have an array of care experience with dogs and cats, including feeding/watering, walking, playing/cuddling, cleaning up waste and litter boxes, brushing fur, and preparing special diet meals. Additionally, I have experience with administering medications. I can administer pills, eye drops, ointments, nasal antihistamines, and frontline/advantage drops and prepare liquid, powdered, and crushed-pill medication in food (I had to learn some "creative" ways to get medicine into my more "challenging" kitties). Another thing I learned was wound cleaning and treatment for my blind cat as a result of being badly bitten by another animal. I have also rescued and fostered cats until they were placed in a loving, forever home! Aside from pet care, I offer other services as running errands, picking up pet supplies, overnight care in one's home, house checks/sitting, and light housekeeping.
