Michelle was perfect! Great job of preparing my design logo for printing, and the finished product was even better than I could have hoped for. She went way above and beyond to pick up and deliver my project, even making an extra trip so I could see a sample print before committing to finishing the job. Also she is lots of fun to work with and she has great design suggestions. Mine was a very small job for Michelle, but she spent a lot of time with me and was very good about communicating and keeping me aware of what was happening. I love being a creative, but Im horrible at self-promotion. Michelle is a natural at bringing out the best in others and helping them stand out from the crowd. She has been my chief editor and general promotions manager for almost 5 years now and I dont know what Id do without her. She initially presented me with a promotional plan, calendar, and a strict to-do list and because I listened to her advice, I can say that the sales for my music and book have increased by at least 30%! I only know this because she presents me with stat reports on a regular basis all I know is that I have been busier than ever with one speaking or singing engagement after another. My motivational speaking career is also finally taking off and I have been invited to speak at charity events all over California. My story is getting out there and I couldnt be happier. She asks me often, How are you doing? Can you handle more? To which I say, Yes, bring it on! Heres one example, while planning a personal vacation in Italy this last summer, I knew about a music festival and told Michelle about it. One call from her and I was booked to perform live on the stage in Italy! Im sure there were more negotiations behind it than that, but all I had to do was show up. My advice? - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?It's important for us to get to know each other and if distance is not an issue, I always prefer an in-person meeting to kick off any project. I'll also be sending you lots of emails, questionnaires, etc. to make sure we're always on the same page and in constant communication throughout your project.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Back in 2012, I was asked to revive a dwindling local non-profit organization. I welcomed the opportunity, rallied a new board team, facilitated the revision of the by-laws, and successfully re-launched its tri-annual sponsored educational dinner events with full membership attendance. This organization is now thriving full force. I have since worked with several other charity organizations and other non-profits... one opportunity always leading to another. Today, working with small businesses, non-profits and charity organizations - helping them succeed, and witnessing their customers, clients, members and recipients benefiting from the process has been the most rewarding aspect of my professional life to date.
