We are really happy with the performance and quality of the work that Hawaiian Construction, LLC performed for our fire rebuilt home in Sammamish! The owner Robert and his team did a great job within the time line. Robert had negotiated with our insurance company many times and doubled our original costs to insure that all repairs were completed properly the first time and brought it up to code. They upgraded our cabinetry and Granite Counter tops without additional costs. The cabinets that were originally there was Particle Board Type or avg. Cabinets. We got High Grade Plywood Box Cabinets. So if there is ever a water leak these cabinets should not get damaged and they will dry out. If they were what was there Particle Board type of cabinets, they would swell up and need to then be replaced. The Granite Counter Tops which was upgraded to the 1-1/4" thick slab type of stone versus the 3/4" type that was there and Robert also included all Granite tops in all bathrooms with under mounted sinks which we had just laminate counter tops and surface mounted sinks in. Robert did a lot of upgrades which includes the exterior deck as well, he never gave up on our house and made sure everything was replaced including the Furnace and all the duct work when the insurance company just wanted to clean it up, we also got all new flooring and all new siding on the home. Robert upgraded the flooring in the Kitchen, family Room area to engineered Flooring when we had Laminate Type flooring, new tile at entry and fireplace. Robert did get the insurance company to replace the entire roof system because of the faulty truss system which the insurance did not want to do until Robert told them that he would bring in a engineer to prove what he found out, then to work with the adjuster who was under half of what it should of been to complete the job. If you ever have a claim, there is no doubt you can count on Robert who has your best interest in his mind at all times! Thank you very much for all your warm words. I do my best to insure all my clients are taken care first on a claim. Being with my many years experience in this field, I understand how a adjuster will react on a large claim so it makes it easier for me to counter their action. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I use a Software called Xactimate. This is a software we have been using since the early 90's. It is used basically for insurance jobs. I do use it as a profile for my regular job estimates. My software is updated monthly by Xactimate but, i do not always use their numbers. I always check stores around where I am out of for current material cost. My labor is based off what type of job we are doing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Try and work out all my new customers concerns. Answer all their questions and concerns regarding how their repairs will be processed . Let them know I am always here as well as my company at their time of need. I arrive at their home or business. They tell me what happened. We will do a walk thru of all the damages that has occurred. I then explain what we can offer in regards to putting their home or business back together the most fast and efficient way possible. I always want my.clients to know that we do care for their loss and my job is to bring them back to the way they were prior to their accident or better. We always push for the better. I also let my clients know that we can deal directly with the the insurance adjusters to help them and relieve the stress of their loss. Being Robert Black, the owner of Hawaiian Construction LLC has worked with adjusters directly and successfully for over 24 yrs. Robert makes sure you get the coverage you need to bring you back to where you were prior to your claim or better before ever settling with a adjuster on a claim. You got to remember one thing when dealing with a Insurance Company, no matter how Nice the Adjusters seems to be remember they work for your insurance carrier and that their main job is to settle a claim as less expensive as they can. That is their job. My job is to make sure you have everything covered prior to signing off on a claim. I work for you and not your insurance company. I will get you everything that you need to bring you back to where you were prior to the claim or better.
