We hired James to teach 2 of our children piano lessons and and we have been thrilled with him thus far. He is professional and motivational and our children (both in middle school) have greatly enjoyed working with him. I would highly recommend James!

Chris is a dedicated, creative drum teacher who knows his stuff! My 10 year old son loves learning with him, and has made steady progress since starting lessons about 6 months ago. Chris emphasizes developing good habits from the start, which has given my son an excellent foundation on which to build. One thing I really appreciate about Chris is that he's both firm, and totally supportive and encouraging. He also has a great sense of humor! I wholeheartedly recommend hiring Chris for drum lessons.

I took lessons from Ryan for about six months and had a wonderful experience with him. Ryan is a great guy and a very good drummer, but most of all he is a fantastic teacher. He was funny and cheerful but knew when to get down to business. He was a great resource for exercises and was able to teach me pretty much whatever I wanted within the range of jazz, Latin and fusion drumming (this is what I studied with him so I can't speak of his skill at teaching rock drumming). I only stopped going because I couldn't fit it into my schedule anymore but I still take lessons occasionally and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for drum lessons in Bellingham.

I am super excited and really enjoying my lessons with Matthew. He gets to play with certified rockstars and when he's not performing -I can actually get lessons with him. He has music lessons very streamlined and breaks down things into smaller bite sized pieces I can absorb one piece at time & at my own pace. I love it. Lets Rock Out. I've heard that they call him "The Music Whisperer", I can see why. Thanks Matt -

I've been taking drum lessons with Jeremy for about four years. In that time I've gone from never touching a drum kit to being a respectable drummer of intermediate skill level, and Jeremy has made it super fun! Two major things I would call out as the most positive about studying with him are his incredible patience and his open mind to lots of musical genres. On more occasions than I can remember, Jeremy has helped me learn a rhythm or technique by showing me two or three different ways to approach it until I was able to get it right. And I've been really impressed with how much he knows about not just rock music, but Latin rhythms, hip-hop beats, jazz techniques, disco, the list goes on... Four years in, I'm still learning a lot and having a blast.

Heidi has provided music lessons (clarinet, sax, voice, recorder and flute) to my children for the past six years. Heidi is a skilled and versatile musician, and has shared her love of music and technical abilities with my children. She is professional, punctual, and an outstanding music teacher. She has also become a friend to our family! She encourages my children and motivates them in music and in life! She goes above and beyond, challenging them with new pieces and goals. Every year she and my daughter organize a family recital which has become a holiday tradition. I highly recommend Heidi!

I am writing this recommendation letter to you on behalf of Mr. David George, an instructor who possesses remarkable musical talent and the intangible qualities of a truly great teacher. Clearly, a music instructor must be able to teach theory, conduct disciplined practice, and create performance opportunities for students. As a parent of one of David’s students who had no prior musical training -- not only did David teach how to read notes, practice hard to master playing the instrument; his students played their music well. David encouraged the passion and musical voice of each his student musician in every performance by giving time and energy to help each student grow.

About

We are a family known locally for our transcriptions. We teach piano, violin, viola, cello and bass, as well as very beginner flute and drum lessons. We also teach basic music theory and help others try to learn how to transcribe their very own favorite songs to any instrumentation. We also perform our own transcriptions for various events, such as weddings, services and parties, and we take any custom requests they may have, from Elvis Presley to the Beatles and Miley Cyrus.

About

I would teach not only how to play pieces others have composed, but how to compose yourself! I believe that learning to improvise is the key to unlocking compositional freedom. By learning a bit of music theory, as well as pieces you enjoy hearing, I will help give you the fundamental understanding needed to be an artist yourself.

About

It's all about being real. Drum lessons, for me, isn't just a job, it's a fun hobby that I enjoy. When others just want to "get the lesson over with," I look forward to helping the student progress each week. The other reason is the price. I know for a fact that professionals have excellent instruction for a price. But families who can't afford such professionals need a viable alternative. That's where I come in.

I offer private music lessons for guitar, bass and drums. I teach music reading, scales, chords, freestyle jamming and ultimately to love to play music. I am great with people of all ages and teach according to the student's personality and specifically desired path in playing. I have been playing since I was in the fourth grade and urge parents to start your kids on the musical path, while they are young. They learn quicker and will be able to grow into musical adults! They will thank you in their album liner notes. Talk to you soon, Bradley Tatum
