This last weekend, Corey came over to help my husband and I clean our garage. We were very pleased with the outcome of our garage, and it was also enjoyable working with Corey. (even if he is a Dallas Cowboys fan) :-) Number one: Go Hawks! Number two: Thank you for doing such a good job putting our garage together for us!
Mogi and his crew painted multiple interior areas in our home where we’d done some remodeling. They also hung crown in our family room and installed customized casing around a built-in wine fridge. They showed up on time and worked efficiently, and the work was good quality. When finished they were willing to touch up anywhere I asked. Mogi is very interested in making sure you are happy with the final product. This is refreshing. Part of the job involved trying to fix some shoddy work another contractor had just done on casing and texture, and they did a good job to fix that as best they could. Mogi proved himself on this project and I would definitely recommend his services. I am in discussions with him now to hire him and his crew for a larger garage remodel project.
Jorge and his crew did a really nice job for a very reasonable price. They installed insulation, hung and taped drywall (with a smooth finish), painted the exterior and painted the interior of a garage-turned-studio / workshop. I am a bit of a 'perfectionist on a budget'... so probably the most annoying kind of customer to work with. And while I did have to make a few requests throughout the job that I thought were sort of obvious (like covering the garage doors in plastic because the black exterior paint was misting on them), they were always very accommodating and wanted me to be satisfied with the project. So just be very specific at the beginning about your expectations and tell Jorge if anything comes up that you're not satisfied with, and I'm sure you'll be pleased with the end result. One example... the floor was left with white drywall dust and mud splatters on the concrete (even though I had mentioned that it was our final flooring and not going to be covered up), and when I texted Jorge about it, his wife called me right away and they came over that evening to scrub it clean. They are really nice people to work with, and it's apparent that they care about their customers. I would work with them again on future projects.
I had an issue with my thermostat and Pro.com had someone out to fix the problem same day. Great communication and follow up from their entire team. I will be working with Pro.com again for some other projects I have around the house.
Dennis replaced an under counter water heat for us in a rental condo. It was a bit of a tricky install because of how it was installed previously (15 years ago), but I was really appreciative that he made it work and was able figure out a solution. I’d definitely hire him again. Thanks Dennis!
VERY quick responses from the get go. VERY professional. VERY good work. Successful project here here as Igor helped finish my garage for me. I have been showing it off to friends and they have been asking me who did the trim...well, I know "have a guy" who can do these kinds of things. Can't wait to reach out to Igor for the next project. Thank you!
Hawaiian construction went above and beyond on our garage repair. Someone ran into the middle beam between our two garage doors pushing it a couple of inches off of the footing. Robert dealt with their insurance company to get them to pay for it making it so I didn't have to. Julie was always very pleasant to talk with and helped make this process simple. After the job was complete they called to make sure I was satisfied and came back out to touch up some of the paint job that needed an extra coat no questions asked. I would definitely use them again.
I hired R&R hardscapes to build a complex deck with a roof and finished underneath of the deck equipped with lighting and electrical outlets. When I approached Ricardo, owner of R&R and let him know what my idea was he gave me great advise on what materials to use to fit into my budget. One of my biggest challenges in living in the northwest with a deck was having to replace deck boards all the time, even when treated. Ricardo told me about brazillian hard woods and the benefits of this product. Mind you that I was trying to find the right contractor foe this deck for 2 years and out of the 10 contractors I spoke with not a single one told me about brazillian iron woods, probably because of how expensive the product was and how much time it takes to install. These hardwoods last 75+ years. Ricardo was able to come up with a plan for my dream to have this extension added to my house and fit it into my budget. Most contractors didn't want to touch the project because of how complex it was. Ricardo has a real sense for what I wanted to create for my family so that I can enjoy it in all seasons. His first thing was safety. I didn't want a bunch of cross boards hindering my view both on the top of the deck and under the deck. He poored nearly 2000 pounds of concrete under each support pole and doubled the size of the footings to make it super stable, enough to put 2 elephants on my 350 square foot deck. Let me tell you that my deck is the talk of the neighborhood. Everyone wants to come over and hang out. Another thing a really appreciate about Ricardo is he always picks up the phone to talk to you when you have questions and I had a lot of questions. He did such a great job on my deck that I contracted him to do my pavers under the deck and souronding areas and my fence. Check out the pictures.
Cedo was great to work with and did an excellent job tiling floors, building / tiling a custom shower and adding old bricks masonry onto an interior wall. He is extremely professional and goes to great lengths to make sure the work is as perfect as possible given the construction site conditions. My remodel turned out to be challenging because of the walls not being straight and the brick wall being very time consuming, but he was very gracious about any unforeseen obstacles and worked extremely hard to get the project finished. He was a very valuable thought partner each step of the way, and I ended up extending the original scope to include installing a backsplash, doors and trim. The end result looks spectacular and i would hire him again in a heartbeat!
Michael and Ryan did an amazing job on our back yard, building an amazing deck on an uneven yard. They took their time building the deck the correct way instead of rushing through to meet the timeline and move on to their next project. We knew they were busy yet they took time working diligently and creating a space exactly the way we wanted. We are one happy customer and would hire them again for other projects.
We hired All Phases to frame and install a new garage door. The door looks fantastic. John's crew got it done quickly and it looks exactly how we envisioned it. They were timely with their responses to our questions and the scheduling. It was a pleasure dealing with them and not having a nightmare that some contractors can be.
Yurt did very high quality work adding accessibility features to my parents' house, including building two sets of steps, installing a new handrail, and installing various grab bars. Highly recommend!
Jim did a fabulous job building our fence. The price was very fair, the workmanship was exceptional. He was very pleasant and I will definitely use him again. I can't say enough good things about his quality workmanship....he was absolutely the best and my fence looks fantastic. Abbie D Redmond, WA.
Jared arrived on time, provided a quality bid and worked through the unexpected problems building my fence with professionalism. The end product is beautiful and well build. I would hire North Star again.
Abraham was great very knowledgeable, made us feel comfortable through out the process. Our garage looks awesome. We will be hiring Metropolitan builders again.
Art painted the interior and exterior on the major remodel of our house. He also painted exterior of my brother-in-laws home and he was also very impressed. We highly recommend him.
I had hired a different contractor who started job and bailed. Brian at craftsman construction saved me! I had them convert garage space into a bonus room. They also did a lot of sheetrock and sheetrock repair plus the entire house finish work/trim and painted walls and all doors. They did an impressive job, I would highly recommend!
Lief has the experience that makes any job feel easily tangible. He has done multiple project for us at and each one exceeded our expectations. He has done small and large projects for us. From installing gas fireplaces in our home to building a garage. We had him vaulting our low ceilings and installing skylights which completely transformed our living space. I would highly recommend Lief and his services. During remodels surprises do come up with the unknowns of an old house, but Lief takes them in stride and always tries to keep on time and budget.
I found Word Works while browsing on a Sunday mid-morning, and in less than 30 minutes I got a call to see if I was available for him to view the situation. We had a sliding glass door with a broken seal (misty between the glass layers). He was prompt, professional, courteous, and answered all of my many questions graciously. I will hire him for all of my future home improvement needs.
Very professional young man. Feel like we’ve found the handy person we’ve been looking for to help us with our small apartment building/1906 house!
Jason Chabot of Fine Design Build creates houses from drawing board to turn key and they are amazing. We have been so fortunate as to receive his help in work and in consultation for about ten years now, at our Mercer Island home which was built in the 1970s and features original Seattle cobblestone and barnwood. He is wonderful and we look forward to working with him again this summer. He's going to put a new roof on the house. He's well connected in the construction business and can get the right materials, like the really thick cedar shakes that are so hard to find now, which our house needs to maintain its character and the character of our private lane. Jason not only specializes in re-use but also can make necessary improvements that still look vintage. That is so important to us. We enthusiastically recommend Fine Design Build. It's a pleasure to work with Jason.
