The Great Surprisal was hired to be our event coordinator as well as serving as our emcee. This is an annual dinner/fundraiser for a small non-profit. Amelia worked with us from the beginning finding a caterer, hiring musicians, working with venue, coordinating volunteers for our silent auction as well as other parts of our evening. We increased our net income by over 25%! We had used the venue before but with the creativity and cost conscious Great Surprisal we had a totally transformed 'gym' from years gone by. Past attendees commented on the greatly improved environment, excellent food and the overall sense of a better-planned event. We will work with The Great Surprisal again and encourage others to do so. Last year we worked with The Great Suprisal as an emcee only. Customers should definitely check out 'Gina' as an addition to a party or event. We are very pleased with The Great Surprisal's work ethic and creativity of working on a limited budget.

We hosted a dinner party for 10 at our home. Nola and her assistant Flo prepared an amazing meal, from appetizers through dessert. Nola was so easy to work with through the planning stages and had great ideas for how to optimize our home and time with our guests. As if the delicious food weren't enough, she also made sure the kitchen and dining room were clean before she left, which was an added bonus to an otherwise exquisite evening. I would highly recommend her and will not hesitate to call her again when we entertain.

I hired them for a Halloween event and they OVER delivered in a huge way! The party lights, music, fog, and mc were the hit of the party! They made the event one of the best I have produced in 30 years and definitely made me look good as the event planner. I will definitely hire them again for future events and would highly recommend them.

We worked with Shelby for almost a whole year to plan our wedding. We were out of state for most of the time, but she was great with using Skype and keeping a timeline of tasks. We would have regular meetings to go over ideas or plans, but she was always available and answered in a timely manner if we had a question outside of our meetings. The most important aspect is that she really listened to what we wanted and the day turned out better than I could have imagined! Shelby made the whole process stress free and we didn't have to worry about anything the day of. I would highly recommend her for any party/wedding planning or decorating/designing needs.

First time I met Kristina, I was not sure because she lives so far away, wonder if she could keep up with our detail oriented plan for our daughter sweet 16 party. She made our daughter's sweet 16 party the best ever. She made personalized signage of our daughter's name with gold glitter, and she made a special back drop. She knows what she's doing and at the end, she prove it she has experiences and connections, and willing to work with our budget and glamourous style. She is energetic and dressed up at the party, which is impressive, considering she was there since 10am, and the party was at 4pm. Overall, love her and her ideas. Totally will work with her again, considering I have another daughter....younger. Thanks, Kristina.

I hired Mary to plan and coordinate for my husband's surprise 40th birthday party for approximately 80 adults and children. Mary exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Mary was always available to answer my questions and I felt like my party was her priority. Mary listened to me and my ideas and was able to see my "vision" for the event and went above and beyond when it came to executing the details. Mary was prompt, professional, organized, detail orientated, and her staff was extremely courteous. We will absolutely refer Mary/Mardee's Design and use her services again in the future!

Royal India catered my husband's birthday party. Many quests complimented the food. Prior to party, the manager Aeisha met us in person at the restaurant to sample food and select menu. She made great recommendations. The buffet they set looked beautiful.

She asked good questions, and anticipated things we might need (that we hadn't though of). Cassie is amazing! You get so much with Cassie, way more than what you actually pay for. I would hire Cassie again in a heartbeat! About four months away from the wedding, my family decided to switch venues. Instead of 120 guests, we now had 40. Along with that decision, my parents decided that a wedding coordinator was not necessary. About two months before the wedding they had a change of heart! They asked me to search for an available wedding Coordinator. I wasn't even sure I would be able to find someone that quickly. Luckily I found Thumbtack.com, and that’s how I was introduced to Cassie Isackson. I picked Cassie from a list of 8 separate offers. Cassie sounded very genuine and she responded to my inquiries right away. I was impressed with Cassie right from the start! She is so easy to get along with and it’s quite apparent that she really knows what she’s doing! There were no hiccups during the planning process and most importantly the actual wedding! She took care of all the important details. She orchestrated everything, and I mean everything! She coordinated with all the vendors including the florist, helped with set-up, rehearsal walk through, seating arrangements, ceremony, and so much more! It really made the last two months of planning go smoothly. It goes to show that even a smaller wedding needs a wedding coordinator. Cassie was a true lifesaver! My wedding was spectacular, and Cassie definitely played a major role in making that happen! She was a little bee buzzing around everywhere! She familiarized herself with the wedding party right away, and everyone immediately took a liking to her. I would hire Cassie to coordinate anything! My husband and I didn’t plan on having a big, exuberant wedding. We wanted something small and intimate, but also special. Bianca handled everything with grace and made the day perfect! With just a month or so notice she was able to pull everything together and truly wowed us. She is extremely empathetic to where I felt like she could read my mind and knew just what to say and recommend to where I didn’t have to be stressed on our big day. I couldn’t have asked for a better planner.

Hannah was the day-of-coordinator for my wedding in Sept, 2015. She was professional, friendly to all (guests, family, and vendors), and always calm. I had a large wedding, with a huge wedding party, and there a few decorating mishaps along the way. But Hannah dealt with everything with wit, poise, and firmness.
