Scott is a very informed, experienced, and personable guitar instructor. He has a great ear, and and even better ability to pick out your weaknesses and turn them into strengths. I went into my lessons with Scott with a few years of guitar playing experience, but not much knowledge of music theory or even knowing scales. He did a great job of creating lessons and catering to what I wanted to learn. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to learn more about guitar, from beginners to advanced! Thanks Scott!
I've had about 6 lessons with Mary on guitar and have thoroughly enjoyed them. She has a great eye for details in technique thats very important in a guitar teacher to keep you on track. I also like the way she builds the skills on top of each other while not trying to do this be repeating the same song until perfect. This is an excellent way to keep the student engaged while building the technique that will be needed. I also like that she is not locked in to a particular dogma. For example, I'm a pretty large person and we needed to adjust my posture from the standard classical guitar posture. She was able to articulate the general principles that one wants to achieve in their posture and use those principles to help me find a posture that works for my body type. In summary. I would gladly recommend Mary to friends wanting to learn classical guitar.
Started guitar lessons a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. I was self taught and played by ear. Didn't feel I had time for lessons. But, I was missing a lot of the fundamentals. The lessons have started to fill in the gaps and I'm learning a lot faster than before. I wish I started these lessons a couple of years ago. And way too easy taking these lessons at my place. Highly recommended!
Ken is nice and responded very fast to my questions, I purchased guitar lessons for my son birthday, and he was very professional about it.
David is a very knowledgeable musician and teacher. I have had lessons from him in both music theory and a band setting. As a band leader he is outstanding and has helped me to understand the theory behind improv soloing. In the study of music theory he is a vault of knowledge and has broken things down to the smallest part so that beginners like me can start learning and USING the info in practice. The book he wrote is well laid out and very useful both in organization of theory and tools for practice on saxophone.
I had one 1-hour guitar lesson with Curt and it was a good experience. He clearly knows his stuff. He listened well and took the time to get a sense of where I'm at. After playing some he gave me some exercises that I think will be very helpful. I will be going back for more lessons.
Great first lesson as a new guitar player. Edgar is professional and talented. I'd definitely recommend working with him if you're in the market for a guitar teacher.
Liam Leo guitar on a regular basis for nearly two years and we couldn’t have been happier with his work. His skill as a musician was clear from the start. But equally impressive were his intangible skills. He was a great communicator with our son— a teacher who took learning seriously but also made learning fun. Leo always looked forward to his lessons, which to us was as good an indication as any of the quality of Liam’s work. But beyond that, Leo really professed as a musician under Liam’s guidance, learning elements of theory and fundamentals of technique but also learning to play a lot of really cool songs. Leo found Liam inspiring , so much so that Leo wound applying to the same arts school that Liam attended. He’s a sixth grader there now, happily building on the musical foundation that Liam helped lay for him.
Daniel has been my student for several years, the last two as a guitar major at Cornish College of the Arts. He is an accomplished classical guitarist with a strong rock and blues background. His comments and helpful criticisms in studio class lead me to believe he would be an excellent guitar teacher.
Ben's been great at getting me over my trepidation with learning guitar. After my fourth lesson I've been able to pick up the basics. He's patient, helpful, good humored, and inspires me to keep going. Thanks, Ben.
Music teacher, woodwinds, guitar, keyboards, music theory, improvisation. First of all, Bob is one of THE most creative and energetic players in Seattle. His prowess on woodwinds, guitar, keyboards and other instruments is extraordinary! I have been studying music theory and improvisation from him for several years now. His instruction has literally taken me from beginner to a level of playing that far surpasses what I thought was possible. Not only is his instruction clear, intelligent and cogent, but he tailors his lessons for the individual at hand. He took the time to talk to me and see where I was musically.... He listened to me play and interacted with me and gave me confidence to move forward with ease... And it is this sense of confidence that I have achieved with Bob that has really made the difference for me. I highly recommend Mr. Antolin to anyone (beginner or seasoned pro)who is wanting to expand their knowledge of music, their instrument... to sharpen their chops and creative fire.
I have taken lessons from Bob Crow for the past five years, and I have nothing but great things to say about Bob, his teaching style, and all the great songs that I have learned. When I first started taking lessons, I was a competent flat picker (at best), but I could not finger pick, count times or take on challenging songs. Thanks to Bob's patient teaching style, I now regularly take onand masteradvanced-level songs.
I aim to teach students how to be a relevant musician. My lessons are focused on the progress of music itself.
I teach beginning to intermediate guitar lessons in the comfort of your home. It can be for 30 min., 45 min. or a full 60 min for afternoons and weekends only. Bring your own guitar or use the house guitar.
I teach fingerstyle guitar, classical guitar, folk, and rock. I also specialize in the Hal Leonard Method, Fredrick Noad Method, and Christopher Parkening Method. My lessons are tailored to each individual student, to their interests and needs. I generally use the Hal Leonard Guitar method but I will use any method best suited for the goals you want to reach. Whatever method we use will be supplemented with other songs and exercises. My lessons tend to be laid back and fun but also challenging. I expect students to do their best and make an effort. The lessons are taught in my studio with an amp, guitar, music stand, books, and seating, or in the students home. Students are required to have their own instrument. I do have instruments available to rent.
I have been a working musician for many years. I have played from coast to coast, in venues as small as house parties and as big as the House of Blues. Music is a beautiful way to connect and impact those who are around us!
I teach acoustic and electric guitar from beginner to advanced levels to players of a variety of styles. I specialize in blues, rock, and metal but am well versed in other genres and styles. I like to incorporate music theory in my lessons and am willing to go at your pace. Music is a fun and enriching hobby, and I do my best to ensure that my students feel comfortable and have fun during their lessons!
The gift of music is always a winner. If you've ever wanted to play the electric guitar, now is a perfect time to do so. Put down the plastic Guitar Hero guitar, and play the real thing! I offer guitar instruction, specializing in electric guitar styles such as blues, classic rock, and more. I can teach acoustic styles. I teach kids and adults. Lessons are $20 for a half hour. I also do complete repair of stringed instruments and custom-building of electric guitars.

My main goal is to find out where you are at musically, where you want to go, and finally customize a lesson plan to get you there smoothly and with a smile!
I teach how to shred on guitar and classic music. I've been playing the guitar for about nine years, and I became a master. I know how to play metal, and I also know classical music.
