Introduction: Hi! My name is Amanda Salazar and I am the Owner of Edge Fitness. I’m located in Tumwater, WA and my clients train with me here at my fitness facility to achieve their health and fitness goals. I am a personal trainer, whole foods nutritionist, weight-loss and muscle development specialist, and motivational speaker. My session price includes the in-session workout, workout homework (workouts I send home for you to do on your own), nutrition planning, and measurements! After many years of being active but not knowing what best works were for my body, counting calories, never really losing body fat, and wondering what exactly the right eating plan was I was referred by a friend to Amanda. I had a wonderful experience with her personal training sessions. She is down to earth and unlike any other fitness coach I have met. She was realistic, organized, punctual, readily available, encouraging, flexible, and informative. Amanda knows her stuff. There were times in the beginning, when I started eating the way she suggested and I started freaking out feeling like it was unmanageable but she would talk me through it and I came through the experience with a much better understanding of food. I finally, after 44 years, feel at peace with food without tracking and counting calories. No longer do I obsess over certain foods. Amanda teaches you what your body needs (and it isn’t cutting entire food groups out). She taught me awesome weight lifting exercises and body strength exercises too. What she taught me I can use at home or any gym. She didn’t lead me on trying to hook me into buying more sessions – she simply taught, gave me copies of what she taught, and moved on to the next session. She explained a lot about stretching, taking care of your body after workouts, and more. Amanda delivered everything promised and more. I walked away with a new understanding of how to fuel my body, without going hungry, and what the best workouts are. She kicked my butt in the gym but was encouraging the entire time – she made me want to push myself but not in a mean way. Her gym is awesome – everything you need to get fit. I can’t say enough good things about Amanda. I would highly recommend her. She is very personable and friendly yet professional. Definitely a good personal trainer for any age or gender. She knows her stuff and will get you in shape if you listen to her and work hard. I am down several lbs, clothes are looser, feeling good about myself, getting strong, and no longer obsessing over counting calories or the latest fad diet. She has given me sanity in the health department and I can’t put a price tag on that.

These boot camp classes will challenge your strength and endurance, build your self-confidence, never leave you bored, and give you a supportive network of other people who have a common goal of feeling fit. As a traveling nurse, I work for 3 months in different areas of the country. I’ve done boot-camp-ish workouts on my own to online videos, and I’ve had gym memberships, but joining a class is by far the most motivating way for me to exercise and a great way to meet people in a new area! Upon moving to Tumwater, I googled nearby bootcamp classes, sent out some emails, and immediately received a welcoming and detailed reply from Amanda Price-Salazar, inviting me to try out a class at Edge Fitness. I loved it, and it happened to be really close to my apt, so now I look forward to biking to every workout! Amanda offers lots of membership options with great prices, and you can drop into any class (offered 5 times a week). This flexibility was key for my participation, because my schedule is different every week. Amanda and the other trainers are super knowledgeable, have great energy, encourage you, push you hard, teach you how to use different equipment, and emphasize good form so you don’t hurt yourself. I’m sad to be leaving these classes in a week for my next job assignment, because it’ll be hard to find a class and trainers as awesome as this.

I began seeing Amanda and doing her boot camps in April, I felt a little intimated at first, but I figured out everyone was focused on there own workout and not judging me, I became more relaxed. Amanda has helped me feel more normal in my body, She isn't only just about exercise, she is honestly interested in each person that comes into to her classes. She watches for possible mistakes in form that could possible hurt you. And corrects you in the moment. She is a very positive influence and has made me want to be more, do more, live life more in the moment. She is the most positive person I have met in this physical industry. And she is truly honest in her interest in each person and situation, in physical and emotional and what you want for your personal goal.
