What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Clients make an appointment for a lesson and we discuss the details on the first lesson and make plans from that initial lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Rhett is a former US 9 Dance Ballroom Champion. Rhett & Shona have been teaching and performing and choreographing ballroom dances together for over a combined 35 years. Trained and certified under many champions and franchised studios.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
A one hour private lesson is $75. If you choose to purchase 5 or more lessons at once the rate is $65 - (5 hours = $325)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Both Rhett and Shona have been dancing all of their lives and so their careers came quite naturally.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Professional competitive performances, Pro Am competitions and performances.
Wedding and special event choreography.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We hold our own ballroom dance Showcase every year. We enjoy teaching many of our couple clients to perform.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's difficult to know the credentials of ballroom instructors. One of the questions that you should ask is if they have ever competed professionally. Many competitive instructors have the best and most current training.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
If it is a wedding dance they should have thought about the music and have it prepared for the instructor to listen to - or at least email or text the song ideas. They should know that in the initial learning phase that they should plan one lesson a week so take a look at their schedule to see if that will fit.
