FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had dreams of becoming a photographer. It just wasn’t supposed to happen right away. My husband and I had just started our family, and he was incredibly busy with work. I wanted to pick up on something small, and shy away from my own ambitions. But it turned out my ambitions had plans of finding me before I thought I was ready. In 2011, I picked up a camera, and began shooting with it. I learned by self assigned tasks on a daily basis, and then started working at creativelive, an online platform for creative professionals. It was there that I gained a majority of my photography knowledge base, and soon after that, I turned my self starting business into a full time job. I have now shot over 60 weddings, and still love it. There’s something about that tingling sensation you get when your fiancé sees you for the first time on your wedding day. And the way your mom’s eyes water during the ceremony. And when Grandpa gets up on the dance floor? Oh yes, I love it. I love every bit of it, every moment, every emotion that goes into your day. During your wedding, time will pass by quickly. So much that, you will almost feel like chasing every second that goes by. Fleeting moments will define themselves as memories pressed into your heart, and you will want to remember every second of that day forever. It will all feel like a dream, one that you will never want to wake up from. As your photographer, I get to help you relive your dream over and over again. Once everything is done, you’ll say thank you, and so will I. We will both be grateful, because neither one of us will want to wake up from our dream— and it’s because of your wedding that we both get to keep on dreaming.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with several brides and grooms planning their wedding day. Before their wedding, we meet over the phone or over coffee and discuss their schedule for their wedding day. Prior to their wedding, their coordinator will contact me ahead of time to finalize the schedule.
